I’ve lived here my whole life(28 years) and I’ve never been here so my husband and I gave it a shot wanting a view of the bay on this cold but sunny day. Great service. Great omelet and grits! Small space but u are right on the water! Nothing fancy but that’s not what we were looking for. We will Deff be back. There’s a fishermen’s special for $ 3.60 on week days 6am to 8am that I’m sure my husband will hit up on the way home from somers point fitness before work.

Personally, I love The Breakfast Shop! Small seating area with a very«homey» atmosphere. The staff here are super friendly and attentive. I ordered an omelette with bacon, mushrooms, swiss & cheddar cheese and my hashbrowns well done and a large orange juice. Everything came out perfectly! I was happy with the portion sizes as well. Not too little, and not too much. Great prices. This seems to be a place where locals come, and I being a local, will come here often. It is my new go-to place!

good, basic breakfast food prepared properly. really nice staff. over priced. for instance, the slam: two pancakes, two eggs and two strips of bacon(and coffee) for 9.50. no hash browns, no toast. that’s not a good deal. i’m not a shoobie, i’m a local and this is the off season. the lack of value keeps me away but on the rare occasion i do go there, i’m not upset at the food or the service.

Cute, and has a local feeling to it. Food was good and came out quickly even though we came in at 10 on a Sunday! Service was friendly! Would definitely go back again and would recommend it to anyone that is looking for breakfast near ocean city. Also the view of the harbor, the cool breeze, and salt air coming through the windows made the visit even more enjoyable.

Great atmosphere. Fabulous service. Fresh poached eggs were so yummy. Huge spinach omelet with shoestring potatoes & toast for hubby. Absolutely great day to start the morning.

This was a tough review to write. I’d give it 3 ½ stars if Unilocal would allow it. The place has a great view of the bay and is nestled behind Smitty’s Clam Bar. The service staff is excellent, very friendly and accommodating. The food was ok. Had the crab omelette which had a good crab taste but was very dry. The potatoes were good. I also got a side of grits which was also very dry. A pad of butter would have helped.

One of the easiest reviews to write. One of the best«local» breakfast spots I have ever found. Great service, very reasonable prices and friendly service. Even our special requests were done perfectly. Coffee cup never got empty. Lots of options to customize omelets and sandwiches. Will definitely come back.

Small, friendly, a little bit quirky, with solid food. Close quarters in the shop. It’s all about eating the food, hot off the grill! A little bit pricey, just a little, but grilled corn muffins, a great omelette & you are good to go. A friendly place & you will not go wrong @ the Breakfast Shop. Right being Smitty’s!

The staff is great! Always a friendly atmosphere. Simple great breakfast food just off the water. Best place to eat breakfast worth going over the bridge. Might want to walk over to wear off the breakfast.

This is where you go for a stick to your ribs breakfast deal. I am never disappointed & we all love the atmosphere — this is not a Shoobie attraction & that’s the best part! Opened year round with a focus on great breakfasts & fast service

Went for breakfast this morning. The place is small and pretty nondescript. The view is nice! I thought the portions were pretty small and the food was okay — nothing spectacular. I did love how they use kids’ artwork(which they color while sitting at the table) for the menu covers. Very cute!

Breakfast is always great here. Its just a comfy hole in the wall. Everyone is personable and friendly. Thursdays they make the BEST cinnamon buns you will evere have. I PROmISE! They go quick too.

This is my go-to place for breakfast. I love it. The food is really good, very reasonably priced. They often have creative and yummy specials. Thursday is cinnamon bun day. I was just there a few days ago and had an omelet with artichoke hearts, canadian bacon, feta cheese… and I think onions were in there. Yum. I also love the whole vibe of the place. The owner is always on premises and the staff makes a real effort to learn your name and what you like. For example, I drink Diet Coke in the morning. One day I came in and the server just went to the case and got the can out without my saying anything. By the time I had my coat off the can and a glass of ice were on the table. Love it.

This spot is an awesome greasy spoon that you know is a haunt for the regulars, as opposed to the dreaded shoobies. They serve up all the regular breakfast stuff as well as some delicious specials as well. I ordered a kielbasa omelette which was delicious. Some of the other specials were eggs Benedict with jersey tomatoes, crab omelette, and some delightfully sweet sounding pancakes, of which the exact flavor escapes me. Anyway, for three people I think breakfast cost $ 25, not too shabby! And there’s a nice little view of the bay too. One of the few places that has both a good view and good food! It’s off the beaten path a bit, but certainly worth a try if you are looking for good breakfast.

great old fashioned breakfast joint on the bay. Personable servers — just down to earth folks — who looked liked they just walked off the set of Mel’s diner. It was like going back in time. Nice view of the marina and bay too. Fast service, friendly people, good food. My wife and i rode our bikes over the bridge from OC. It was well worth the trip. Only downside is the long haul to the bathroom which i visited because of way too much good coffee. it’s the kind of place you want to make a tradition of visiting.

I really enjoy this place whenever I’m visiting from California. I grew up in South Jersey, which has its fair share of good breakfast joints. Really love the gorgeous bay view while sipping my coffee, and the omelette and pancake specials are always delicious. The owner B.J. is always gracious and her staff is hard-working and professional. I look forward to returning soon.
