Established in 1977.

Dwight and Arlene Steffensen purchased Solvang Antiques in 2010 with ambitious plans to build on the legacy of this much loved business.

Solvang Antiques continues to amaze visitors and clients alike with their emphasis on fine art, and antique and estate jewelry. They offer an overwhelming variety of quality antiques including furniture, lighting, silver and specialize in restored antique clocks, watches and music boxes.

Solvang Antiques Fine Art Gallery is over a thousand square feet of fine antique art and revolving exhibits in conjunction with Judith Hale Gallery.

I must give five stars to this wonderful store not only have I found some of the most beautiful jewelry, but the staff makes me feel like I’m the most important person when I walk thru that door and that’s why I keep coming back. I would highly recommend this beautiful store to all passing thru solvang.

Although our visit didn’t end with a purchase, we loves the service and selection here. We are looking for an antique engagement ring and their selection is large and reasonably priced. They have a wide range of prices.
We looked at several rings and Michael was very patient and helpful.

Yes, This store is amazing in the sense of the contents of the store. However the staff was not welcoming. We had a lady follow us around the store, but never even offered us help. It was so uncomfortable. We left without buying anything and with that kind of service, I would not give them one cent. Over all Solvang is a place i would visit again just not this store.

This is such a magnificent and luxurious antique store. I felt as though I was in a museum. Some of the items in this store I have never seen! I thought the music boxes were extraordinary and I especially loved the Thomas Edison Phonograph. So cool! I think everything is merchandised with such care and there is not a drop of dust in this store, it is immaculate. The pieces can range from hundreds of years old to recently in our century and everything is in pristine condition. My boyfriend is currently purchasing our engagement ring there and it is gorgeous! I cannot wait to wear my 1925 antique ring from Solvang Antiques!

Went to both the old location and the new store at 1693 Copenhagen Dr, during a recent visit.
Love the selection and the knowledgeable staff. Feels like a museum, where you can buy anything you love.
Furniture, paintings, jewelry and select collectables. The variety and quality of the items are second to none.
This being antiques, the price tag is for the serious collectors. The old location on 486 First Street have some good deals to make it worthwhile. The new store is priced like a museum, where it’s look and don’t touch!

1 Star for Service 5 Stars for selection. So since I can only pick one I will meet in the middle.
I’ve loved this store since I was a little girl, my family first brought me here when I was ten and I’ve been hooked ever since. It is in my opinion, one of the finest, most beautiful antique stores I have ever been in and I make sure to stop in every time I am in Solvang.
And here comes the «but»…
They have this one man that works there and he seems to base his customers off of appearance and he is just a rather rude person to begin with. On each visit I’ve made to the store I’ve been sure to avoid him and look for one of the female associates if I need help. I honestly feel that he only thinks the people that are worth his time are the ones that «look» as if they have a certain amount to spend. Which is kind of a joke because sometimes those people are the ones living off of a Saks credit card and swimming up to their neck in debt. In other words, financial idiots.
My fiancé and I have been looking for a very nice antique pocket watch but the person at the counter didn’t seem to think that a guy with long hair and a t-shirt would be serious about purchasing anything in the store. Which is sad because if my fiancé doesn’t buy one, I eventually will get one for him.
The first piece we were interested in had a rather higher price-point than what we wanted to spend, but it was beautiful so my hunny asked about it anyway. The guy just kind of mumbled something and didn’t offer to show it to us at all. So… OK then… we kept looking, then my love saw another one that was a measly $ 200.00, which was below my price point so we tried to ask about it and the man turned his back to us acted as if he didn’t even hear us.
Well, a sale just walked out of the door that day. But, the good news is, I have a better idea of what my fiancé wants so if and when I do end up getting him his pocket watch, I am sure another vendor will be happy indeed.

We stumbled upon this antique store by accident. Walking around Solvang, my companion and I decided to check the placed out. Actually my companion did, I didn’t want to be looking at old stuff. –___–
Anyway, I’m glad I went in! From the outside, this store seems like a tiny place, but once you’re inside it goes on for ages. There’s three levels to this store and each level was super cool. There is tons of high value antique items here. It’s almost like a history museum /store. Forget the history museum and check out the Antique Center.
While I was in there, I saw very expensive antiques for sale. They have many grandfather clocks from all kinds of time periods. 1800s, 1900s, all time periods! There was old jukeboxes, cabinets, mirrors, everything. I even spotted a grandfather clock for $ 250,000 plus. While I held it in my hands, I exclaimed, «I’m holding the cost of a condo in my hands»
These guys are moving now to a smaller store but check out Solvang Antique Center if you’re there. The reason why they’re moving is because the owners of the building told them they were going to cut the store in half! Because of that, they decided to just move to a better location… smaller but newer. They already take care of all the upkeep of the store they might as well.
Don’t worry they’ll still have all their stuff… the store has two warehouses to keep antiques in.

I love antique shops! This was by far the most amazing shop I have ever been in. It almost felt like a museum of incredible objects. Although most items are not within a normal persons budget, it is still great fun to look at all the jewelry, clocks and music boxes. I highly recommend this place for at least a visit.

this is quite possibly the finest antique store i have ever visited. it is majestic in its collection of beautifully grand clocks, furniture, pianos, phonographs and collectible items from the late 1800’s and late 1900’s. it is a virtual time capsule.
the only problem with stepping into a store like this is that since everything is high quality and very well preserved, which of course, it is a huge plus for an antique store, the price tags for everything, and i mean, everything in the store can run from 1,000 to a quarter of a million, easily and as you step into the store and realize the sort of items they have it is understandable why that is that case.
i recommend stepping into the store even if you don’t have the disposable income. you can spend an hour easy ruminating throughout the store and wondering the history of many of the items on display. it is a very fascinating store with a very friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Wowsers! I am sometimes bored with antique shops… but I left this one with a big smile on my face and talking about it all the way back to Santa Barbara! The staff was very friendly and personable even though we definitely couldn’t afford anything there! Such beautiful pieces though, clocks, furniture, jewelry… the woman on the staff (should have gotten her name) even played one of the old music boxes for us she called our «modern CD»… WOW that was the most magical sound I have heard in my entire life. I’m 29 and own an ipod but I would trade it in to get one of these in my house… it was sooooo awesome and I thought that was very sweet of the staff to crank one of the «cd’s» on to play for us… I felt like dancing!
