Had a wonderful, relaxing weekend here for my husband’s birthday(…in March — why no, I’m not slow to Unilocal). We stayed in Tansy, which was very cosy; small bathroom, but that didn’t bother us. Beautiful, peaceful setting and a very classy B&B atmosphere. The owner was kind enough to show us some of the unoccupied rooms; next time we may upgrade to one of the cottage-style rooms with the tubs. I took some knitting out to the end of the pier and sat out there for a while watching boats come and go to neighboring properties — what a wonderful way to spend an evening! Breakfast was tasty too — tell them when you book your room if you’re not a meat/egg eater, though. I forgot to, and they still did a wonderful job accommodating me. It was an easy, comfortable walk to the waterfront area and several great places to eat were nearby as well. I’m always on the lookout for vacation spots where I don’t have to drive much to enjoy the area, so I was thrilled by how easy and fun it was to get around on foot. I think this might be my idea of heaven. I’m already plotting a return trip for the fall.
