Veggie Vibes is an organic gourmet raw food delivery service and a retreat house for weight loss, where you can stay and not only enjoy healing and detoxing raw foods and cleansing juices made with the freshest local organic ingredients but have an amazing time and meeting like minded people in the San Diego community, we organize events like yoga, raw food demos, dinner parties, live music, potlucks, beach fires or you could just enjoy life with us and come and swim in the pacific ocean :)

History

Established in 2007.

Veggie Vibe started because people ask for it. What we mean is that when many people wanted to have an alternative of fresh, local, organic well balanced living food, we were manifested out of people’s desires for a unique food service alternative. Since then, we have keep playing and learning and Veggie Vibes grew into what is today, a unique service that provides food made with love, passion and creative flow. Now we open the Vibe House, where people not only can stay for healing or loosing weight with raw foods, but also enhancing their energy by surrounding them with a vibrant community of uplifters chefs, yoga teachers, healers and just loving people that will make you smile and help you in your journey to balance and harmony.

Business Owner

Born to unite, Chef Perkunas was surfed in Lima-​Peru. He grew up in a family where traditionally men were passionate cooks, learning and creating complex dishes and elixirs at an early age and developing a natural sense for balancing flavors and textures.

Perkunas’ culinary background was enriched with the incredible variety of products in his country of birth. Peru is well known for culinary exploration, where a mix of Inca, Spanish, Chinese, European, African and Japanese gastronomic contributions has transformed Lima into a paradise for food lovers. Furthermore, the biodiversity in Peru is one of the biggest on planet Earth, no wonder why Peru has been considered the super foods capital of the world. Peru is a mystical and abundant land, and it has a perfect quality soil to cultivate a chef-​alchemist.

This is the first place I wish I could give six stars. I started getting shipments from Veggie Vibes about 4 years ago, but only once or twice a year since I was all the way out in Virginia (high shipping costs). The food was always great, but it’s nothing like getting the fresh delivery locally now that I live in SoCal. I have been here for a few weeks, and after the first week, decided to go with the weekly subscription. The portions are generous, everything is super fresh and healthy, and the flavor combinations are unique. My tastebuds never get bored. I can also look at the menu each week and choose things to add or opt out of, replace something with a dessert or two (oh yeah) and I also like that most of their entrees are low-​nut. They still manage to make them filling though. The juices and smoothies are also delicious– exotic flavors and creativity are in every dish. I can tell there is a lot of love put into their food. It is healing, satisfying and even mind-​blowing on occasion. Thank you Chef Perkunas!

I am so grateful that I found veggie vibes because Perkunas’ food has made my life even better (it’s already pretty great). Every Tuesday is so exciting to open my fresh local vegan food for the week. I was sceptical about food delivery being pretentious and expensive and Veggie Vibes is neither. I didn’t know anything about raw food before– I was vegan and wanted local– but raw vegan makes me feel even more incredible then being just vegan. The portions are super filling and I’ve lost a few pounds. Veggie Vibes makes me happier and healthier, I can’t recommend this service enough. Also, the delivery guy was sweet and Perkunas responds to emails quickly. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.

I signed up for the 8 meal plan to try this place out. Raw foods to break my tea cleanse sounded right. The service is excellent. I placed my order last minute and received my order in time. The food is delicious which is hard to find… good raw/​vegan foods around san diego. I am absolutely pleased and would definitely place a future order. Highly recommend

Chef Perkunas is a magician, alchemist, artist, and healer all in one! The dishes he crafts using fresh, local, and organic ingredients will totally blow your mind and change your image of «Raw Food»! I strongly recommend their «Rawviolis», «sunflower-​sea weed crackers», «Peruvian Lucuma Toffee», etc…, etc…
You will be very happy with their customer service and the good «Vibes»!!! :)

I had the pleasure to go directly to the Veggie Vibes kitchen for a sampling of this week’s menu. And like one of the other reviewers, I have sampled food from some of the best raw chefs in the world (Matthew Kenney, Juliano, Chef Ito), and I have to say, Perkunas deserves to be ranked among the absolute best. One of the main ingredients for most raw gourmet food is nuts, and some use quite a bit of salt to get the flavor to pop.
But Perkunas has mastered the use mostly fruits and veggies, along with herbs and spices, to make his dishes exceptionally flavor-​full! The portion sizes are unusually large for raw gourmet, and yet, my stomach felt completely fine for hours after ingesting what for me was quite a bit of food in one sitting! Perkunas also uses the freshest ingredients possible, sourcing from small, local, organic growers.
Something else to take into consideration when deciding whose food you want to put in your body is the energy that the preparer exudes. Perkunas is pure love — love for his craft, his creations, and his customers. I simply cannot wait to try more and more of his masterful cuisine. Five stars all the way :)

I have ordered this home delivery for three weeks now and it has made me feel so much better. It is not only extremely fresh and organic, it tastes amazing. I have had experience with some of the best raw food from New York to LA to SF and I must say Chef Perkunas does an impeccable job here for San Diego. I am finally happy to have amazing food here from Veggie Vibes. It is extremely easy to set up an order and very reliable. I am grateful to Chef Perkunas for his positive energy and food. I have met him as he once personally dropped off my order. He was so upbeat and knowledgeable about the food. No wonder it is exceptional. Definitely worth it!

I just tried a home delivery from Veggie Vibes for the very first time. The food in my opinion is vastly superior to that of Rawvolution in Santa Monica. Often gourmet raw food can be too rich but this is not the case with Veggie Vibes. The meals were tasty and filling and the presentation was lovely. Chef Perkunas is an artist. I would encourage you to try this service whether you are new to raw foods or someone who has been raw for years. The food combinations are extremely creative and tasty. I am a big fan!

This is a raw food delivery business. When I was faced with Breast Cancer in 2008 I knew as a nurse and now a patient I had to make radical changes in my life that led to getting Cancer, one of those was changing my diet. I was lucky to be working with two women whom always talked about the benefits of raw organic vegan diet. BINGO! Through trial and error I stumbled onto Veggie Vibes this year and they are amazing. Chef Perkunas is a magician with food. He makes going raw a yummy treat. He has an amazing resume and it shows in his creations. His partner Erika is on top of things. For $ 110⁄8 meals-​more if you want more meals you get a feast. The portions are large and the deserts amazing. I have lost as much as 5 pounds in one week but that’s not why I originally went raw. They are part of my health care team. The only downfall is I want to order too much food! I also order things I would never like but Chef Perkunas sprinkles his magic fairy dust on it and WAM!.. amazing!
