If I could add 5 more stars I would. Dr Ryan or as I called him, Dr Tune changed my life! I was «living» with constant, chronic pain and thought this was the way it was going to be due to my situation with my foot. If you are thinking this way please check out Dr Ryan. I tell anyone who says they have something going on to give him a call because he will change your life. I can be as athletic as I want now, travel is the best and I can hike and dance. With regular maintenance I have a healthy and happy life. Dr. Ryan is patient, kind and cares. Make an appointment today if you are looking for a good Dr!

Dr. Gessay gave me my life back. After four months of sudden, chronic and debilitating headaches — I was at my wit’s end. I was on a medical leave of absence from work, unable to drive, seeing spots, and terrified. I’d seen the best neurologist at UCSD who wanted to do a lumbar puncture, I’d gone through a 3,000 dollar MRI that showed no abnormalities (thank God) and I was convinced I was losing my mind. Finally, a family friend recommended I give a local chiropractor a shot. After one visit, the difference was UNREAL. I absolutely couldn’t believe it. The answer to all my pain had been at my fingertips all along. I saw him weekly for two months to get myself back on track and now see him for maintenance as I no longer live in the area. I can honestly say he gave me my life, my sanity, and my body back. I was scared and being pushed from doctor to doctor — no one EVER thought to suggest chiropractic care. I thank God for such wonderful intervention and feel so lucky to have found such a great Doctor. Thank you, Ryan!

I can post a long review but I’ll keep it simple. First I appreciate it when someone really cares about the results of his patients and takes time to get to know them. I am never rushed through a treatment as Dr. Guessay always takes his time and makes sure to address my concerns.
After only a few treatments some of my symptoms are completely gone. I look forward to my treatments and appreciate that he is also a really nice guy.

I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Gessay and his team. I had chronic back pain stemming from two previous Cross Fit injuries. I thought I was just destined to live with this pain until my doctor suggested I see Dr. Gessay. My first visit with Dr. Gessay was so eye opening. I recommend Tune and Dr. Gessay without reservation as an outstanding chiropractor and practice. I moved to the area almost a year ago and tried four (bad) practices before finding Tune. Thankfully my search ended there as I knew I found the right place.
He has helped me considerably in managing some chronic neck pain and tightness in my low back. When my mom came to visit a few months ago he even helped her with some chronic pain she was having in her hip and back. She felt significantly improved after just her initial visit and then a couple of visits later she was almost new.
He does overall muscle/​body work in addition to focusing on the spine, which is obviously great because it’s all working together in terms of anatomy and physiology. He is gentle and discerning in administering adjustments yet is highly effective.
Last, it’s a really nice location and office, and the staff is super friendly and helpful.

I came to Dr. Gessay with lower back pains, shoulder tension and numbness in my arms. I use to have to work in chronic pain and numbness in my limbs. However after working with Dr. Gessay my overall mobility has improved greatly and the numbness is gone. Dr. Gessay is really an advocate of getting healthier and improving the movement of your body. I recommend him to my family and to my friends !!

I can’t recommend Tune enough! I’ve battled lower back pain for the better part of 15 years now. Seen more chiropractors and had consistent care more than I’d like to admit with absolutely NO results. I thought this pain was something I’d have to live with forever. After consistent care with Dr. Gessay I have not had a single episode with my lower back. It’s been 7 months of pain free living!!! Thanks, Dr. Gessay!!!

My OB referred me to Tune Chiropractic to align my hips to help with birth. Unfortunately, my little one decided to make her arrival before my appointment and labor left me with increased hip pain.
A month later, alone with a newborn in tow, I came to the office. Turns out, one of my hips was out of whack making one leg longer than the other. Ryan was able to do the bulk of the adjustment during my first visit while his assistant kindly held my squawking newborn and most of the rest in the second. I believe with one or two more visits I will be 100%.
I did feel a little more pain in-​between the first and second visit, my body was fighting the alignment, but now I feeling so much better!
Overall, Ryan is an awesome chiropractor, I love the office, felt very cared for – still can’t believe Ryan’s assistant was willing to take care of a newborn while I was being adjusted (She was wonderful!) – and would highly refer Tune Chiropractic to anyone.

I can’t recommend Tune Chiropractic enough for any of your chiropractic needs. I had some neck issues that were causing dizziness, blurred vision, and headaches and I can’t believe how much Ryan helped me. The atmosphere at Tune was beyond compare for any medical office. Ryan spent so much time talking to me and figuring out what was going on and then finding other impairments that may be contributing to my injury. I have absolutely no hesitation sending any friend and family member to Ryan because I know they are in amazing hands.

I have battled neck and lower back problems my whole adult life, frequently making me feel like I should have a senior citizen discount at most establishments. After moving to San Diego almost 2 years ago I have struggled to find a chiropractor that «gets it». I keep running into those who want to set up a long-​term, 3x/​week treatment plan that COSTS A LOT OF MONEY and doesn’t bring relief quickly.

I originally went to see Dr. Gessay for a pinched muscle in my neck. He was of course able to solve that issue very rapidly but he did something MUCH MORE amazing. In the normal course of my first visit he asked if I had any other ailments I wanted to address. I almost did not bring it up because the issue has been with me for so many years. I have learned to live with the fact that I have both golfers & tennis elbow in both elbows. I have visited numerous chiropractors, Physical Therapists and orthopedic surgeons over the years. The end result of all of that is I would wear hard plastic braces called «BandIT» on my elbows that allowed me to workout and play beach volleyball without pain. Of course, if I ever did so much as a just few pushups without the BandITs my elbows would throb with pain for at least a week.
After just a few sessions Dr. Gessay was able to break through the «crud» (my word) that was restricting the normal use of my elbows. I now am able to carry out any upper-​body exercise and play beach volleyball all day with no fear of triggering a pain response.

After a 15hr flight my back was completely out and it was Friday before Christmas. I looked on Unilocal for the closest Chiropractor and bc of the phenomenal reviews Tune was the first place I called.
What followed has been a perfect client experience from start to finish.
Ryan answered the call and although he was completely booked up on Friday and Saturday he offered to come in an hour early on Saturday morning to fit me in.
I am 36, incredibly active ex professional athlete that has had 7 knee surgeries and have seen my fair share of industry leaders in the orthopedic, chiropractic and PT world.
Ryan is the REAL DEAL!
During the appointment he walked me through everything he was doing and why. He is extremely knowledgable, undoubtably and expert and took the time to really understand what was going on in my body.
His adjustments are very precise and the body is prepared through deep tissue work.
2 sessions and I am golden.
Tune is my new go to for when my active lifestyle gets me down.

Dr. Gessay is magical! I’m a yoga and barre teacher, and also wait tables a couple nights a week. With all that activity, my shoulder decided to become not so happy.

I rarely write Unilocal reviews but after what I experienced on Saturday I had to share.
Dr.Ryan saved me yesterday. I re-​injred my neck and back and saw him the following day. I feel almost 100% better and that was from one session. I didn’t have to take any meds which is a change from injuries in the past.
He has a unique way of healing that I feel is something that cannot be taught. Its in him and you can feel that the moment he puts his hands on you to determine what is going on.
Dr.Ryan is so much more than your run of the mill Chiropractors he is a healer. You can feel the love the second you walk in and are greeted by his wife Jenna who helps run the practice.
He was constantly letting me know what he was doing and why. He asked me my comfort level numerous times to make sure I wasn’t hurting. When I walked out of there I felt lighter and virtually painless. I have been to a few pretty great doctors who helped the pain, but usually after a dozen sessions. Dr. Ryan told me he would rather see me less and helped me set goals so that I can avoid getting hurt again.
When I first walked in a patient was walking out and she noticed I was filling out new patient paperwork, she turned to me and said «You are going to love this place, Dr. Ryan has MAGIC hands» and she is right!

Dr. Ryan Gessay has magic hands. I was down in North County to get some surfing in over the three day weekend, but tweaked my back while trying to get a little too Namaste gnarly in yoga. Someone tipped me off that Tune was the place to go. They were right! Dr. Ryan was delightfully thorough. He explained what was going on with my body and why. You can tell he loves what he does. He released the tension in my back and in a few other areas where I was gripping, but had gotten used to the discomfort. I’ve never felt so freed up and jelly. I got four surf sessions in in three days. Thanks Tune!

I now have my new favorite chiropractor. If only I lived in North County! I live in Los Angeles and often spend weekends in San Diego with family. While down for the holiday, I woke up with crazy, intense pain in my jaw in the middle of the night and needed someone to help me immediately. Luckily, I was referred to Dr. Ryan Gessay who got me sorted out right away. After the first visit I felt immediately better. He knew exactly what was going on to cause my discomfort and gave me adjustments accordingly. I floated out of there. I decided to set up a second session before I went home (just ’cause) and felt even better. Loose and free. I hope my family doesn’t mind me visiting even more often now that I’m hooked. I will definitely be back!

Top notch in every way.
TREATMENT: Ryan is an extremely talented chiropractor that has melded some eastern medicine, ART, and other goodies into his practice. I’ve been to 6 chiropractors in my life, most of which I visited for months on end. None have even come close to the care I get from Ryan.
As someone else mentioned, his bedside mannor is simply the best. He tells you what’s happening with your body and why he’s doing the treatment he’s doing (assuming you want to know as I always do).
Though I didn’t expect it, he noticed some points on my skull that indicated some systems in my body were off. He was DEAD ON accurate and helped to fix those problems in a single visit.
On top of the above, he also remembered literally everything I told him about myself from the first visit and had thought of ways to help in the interim. Unbelievably customized care.
OFFICE: Not the typical doctor’s office waiting room by a long shot. There’s essentially just a greeting area (beautifully appointed in wood that immediately makes you feel comfortable) and the treatment rooms. I have yet to run into another client while I’ve been in the office for treatment, and I must admit that I love that. Though, I would probably get along really well with his other clients as I’m sure he attracts some awesome people.
PRICING: Very reasonable. He’s also very flexible on billing and figuring out insurance hiccups. Couldn’t ask for more from a provider.
OVERALL: I can’t say enough about Tune or about Ryan. What I can say is that I now have a marker by which I can gauge every other business I visit.
