I have been getting injections for over a year now but never had I had a place as personable and professional as this place. Jessica greeted me at the door, and was so welcoming. I filled out my new-​patient paperwork and within a few minutes, I was in the room, talking to Karen about my treatments. She was really honest with what I needed, based on my age and skin-​type, not pushing any extra work at all. I felt this office (of the three i’ve visted in San Diego county), was the most kind, honest, and professional. I am so happy with my results and I will certainly be back for future visits.

I came here for some Botox injections off a Groupon. I got a GREAT deal (20 units for $ 75 after a discount promotion Groupon was running) and was finally able to make an appointment.
Finding their office was a little difficult. After arriving in Solana Beach, I found the street their location was. The street was very steep, so set your parking brake.
It was in a nondescript office building, on the second floor above the parking garage. I had to snake around the outside of the office building all the way around to the back just to find the door. The offices seemed fairly small, but the staff was very friendly.
I wasn’t pressured to get more units than the 20 units I purchased, which is rare from my experience. Most other places seem to lay a guilt trip on you to buy, buy, buy.
I had a good experience and would definitely come back again for more injections.

I came here yesterday for laser hair removal and I was so impressed! Krista at the front desk booked my appointment and was so kind and understanding in helping me figure out what I could do with my expired Groupon I had with them. She informed my I could use it at face value as a credit towards services, which was so nice of them since this Groupon expired back in 2012, oops. When I came in for my session, she was friendly and promptly greeted me and got me checked in. The doctor who did my service was awesome, and explained the laser and routinely checked in with me during the session to see how I was doing, how my pain level was, if I needed a break.
I’ve gone to other med spas before for laser hair removal, and have needed numbing cream and still found it to be very painful. This time I was impressed because no numbing cream was used and it was totally bearable. I had a small amount of irritation immediately post procedure, but now the morning after, my skin looks fine. I can’t wait to come back and try some other services.

No, No! Don’t go waste of $$ and time which is $$. I bought a the special for Botox, she even talked me into 10 more at $ 10.00each. So all in $ 230.00 and one week later NO difference NOT one change… Had it done around frown lines, crows feet and forehead lines. I got 29 units of Botox. feel ripped off!!!

Wonderful wonderful Spa… On so many levels, their knowledge, the types of services, the ambience, all in one place. All my questions are always answered and the extra care is amazing. Have gone for over two years, enjoy many services and recommend to all my friends!!!

Jessica Tucker above and beyond took care of me. She listened to what I was concerned about and gave me the best facial! I have patches of hyper pigmentation. She did a treatment that within days lessened the appearance. BEYOND pleased with my experience. I’m just happy that there’s always an answer to any unhappiness with your skin. Amazing!

I purchased the mixto SX since November of last year and hesitated to get it done finally after much hesitation I just had it done. I must say Keely was instrumental in making me relaxed & empowered me with information that I needed. She was knowledgeable, professional & her follow up was great! Mixto is a complex procedure but it all went very well for me. I followed their pre & post prep and in less anticipated healing time I was able to go to work. That was amazing! Ask for Keely and see for yourself.

THEY USED A RISKY PROCEDURE ON ME AND CAUSED DAMAGE! EPIC FAIL.
I came in for an evaluation of laser procedure to treat dark pigmentation but I was diagnosed with melasma. Their recommendation treatment was a series of 3 glycolic acid peels or one high grade TCA peel. I chose the TCA peel and waited until Christmas since there are some holidays which meant time off work for the downtime.
On day of treatment, they could not find my chart. For some reason, a mid-​grade peel was instead recommended. The aestheticism said she has over 14 years of experience doing peels and specifically with my skin type of Fitzpatrick IV-​V. Even as she was performing the peel she assured me that I’d get most of the melasma out and at worst I might have to do another peel.
End Results — MY MELASMA IS WORSE. I dropped in after 10 days and they confirmed that it was not getting any better (a few days later the pigmentation got darker). Now, I was told that I needed 2 – 4 TCA peels ($ 250 a pop) or get cosmelan procedure ($ 800). Gee, let me do that math.
I have since consulted another MD who said that TCA peel is RISKY for my skin type and the worsening melasma is due to hyperpigmentation. Apparently, cosmelan is safe and appropriate for me. If I was properly informed and given the options, I’d have done cosmelan (which is less risky and ultimately cost less than a series of TCA peels).

Although a wide variety of agents are available for chemical peels, the choice becomes relatively limited when you are treating a patient with a Fitzpatrick skin type IV or above.[18] This is because the deep chemical peels cannot be used in dark-​skinned patients owing to the risk of prolonged hyperpigmentation.[16,18] Even medium-​depth peels need to be used with extreme caution.

This is a long over due review. First off the staff isn’t very friendly and seems like you are inconveniencing them. Fine, I can look past that. The spider vein treatments I received showed no improvement. I finally did more research and the laser is intended mostly for hair removal only! Shame on me for not doing research sooner and shame on them for scamming us all. Do not waste your money!

I got a microdermabrasion treatment, they really liked it. My face looks and feels amazing. The office is nice and clean and open. The staff is all very friendly. I will definitely go back and recommended to friends.

I purchased a coupon off the net for 4 treatments of laser treatments for my tiny spider veins on my legs. Even after the first couple of treatments I wasn’t happy with the service and let them know — maybe I shouldn’t have done that because now Karen B (RN) really screwed up my legs and I believe she did it on purpose. What were once small spider veins are now permanent large red scars that are 100x worse than when I started. I told her about it and she said I’d have to see my GP for his advise, when I did that he said «What? They took your money and left you like that!»
I will now have to go see a real dermatologist and spend a considerable amount of money to try to fix this problem that this place left me with… no, no, no, I don’t recommend. If anyone else has experienced this problem with them, let’s talk coz I’m ready to sue!

This place is really nice. I came here because I had a Groupon for CO2 lasering. All of the staff were very nice, helpful, and not pushy at all– to be fair though I did upgrade some stuff but I was leaning on trying to do that anyway before I walked in the door. I’ll be getting my laser treatment in a little while– will try to remember to update this months later when I’ll have a handle on the results. :)

Horrible service! Employees very unfriedly and do anything possible to avoid the prepaid services. Worst customer service I’ve seen. They really make you feel bad!

I was initially very excited when I heard about this place and was finally able to book an appointment… but my excitement was short lived. I was not greeted in a very friendly manner, the waiting area is much too small and not very welcoming. I spent a LOT of money… and the results were not good. I told her that I knew my face and how much botox I knew I needed in my forehead and she wouldn’t do it. The filler procedure was not too terribly painful… but I have had these services done elsewhere and all my results have been much better… and less expensive than what I received here. within one month… I was rescheduling the same services somewhere else… with GREAT, expected results.

They were unprofessional, unorganized, the waiting room is cramped, the treatment office appears to double as a storage space, they are connected to another beauty/​medical office with the same address so finding the entrance is confusing, the practitioner doing my treatments was cold and uninviting and did not offer care instructions after my first treatment, they had scheduling issues and no-​showed for other customers, little sense of client privacy and misquoted the price of additional services I had requested. Basically, if it wasn’t for the $ 99 Groupon, I would have quit after my 1^st of 6 sessions. I definitely will not be a return customer!

I love exploring new neighborhoods for vacation and for novelty, but not for procedures that involve either tazering, waxing, injecting my face, body, hooha or hoochachenanny. Yes Unilocalers, ’tis true, my maintenance comes from a syringe that does NOT test positive for the US Anti-​Doping Agency and lasers not found at Comic-​con. Call me vain, but have you seen my vein? (Some people know EXACTLY what I’m talking about!)
Enter Synergy! I’m always anxious to go to a new place because technique, expertise, and prices vary wildly in San Diego. (Even wilder from my jaunts to Tijuana, but I’m too far North now).
I called to get pricing on injectables and Christina the esthetician was able to squeeze me in for a same day appointment. While I was waiting for Genya the amazing nurse practitioner, Christina and I struck up a conversation that resulted in exchanging astrological signs. She thought I was a Leo. I assured her I’m just obnoxious Regardless? Very welcoming customer service while I waited for the appointment that I technically shouldn’t have even had. Shavonne/​Chevonne? (the manager) was amazing and worked with me to customize my needs.
Now, I’ve seen my fair share of medi-​spas both as a customer and as a manufacturer’s rep peddling equipment and product back in the day, and Genya’s attention to detail surpassed many of the MD’s that I’ve worked with. (and even some of the DO’s!). She used a white pencil to trace her (err, my) lines, and was gentle with the injection. I’ve had some doctor’s literally stab my face which did nothing for the efficacy of treatment but in terms of packing a punch? Yeah. Not pretty.
I saw many customers during my wait that seemed very pleased and looked very good. Strong testimonials.
Lo and behold, the best part of the day was mentioning that I found them on Unilocal!Next thing I know Christina is busting out her Unilocal tote bag nonchalantly like a cool kid. Hey Trish — she uses it! She actually uses it! She carries her lunch to work in it! You gotta love that.

I have been getting facials on a very regular basis for a few years now. This place has definitely given me the BEST facials I have ever had thus far. I have to admit, I was skeptical when coming here for the first time for a facial I bought from a
deal, but they impressed me which is why I made my 2^nd appointment on right before I left from my very first one. My second facial was also just as good, if not better! The facialist really takes her time in providing your skin what it needs at the time. She is very knowledgeable and gives you coaching on what products are best for your skin type. Although it is somewhat pricey here, I will definitely be back on a regular basis! I am a true believer in the sense «you get what you pay for».
Every experience I have had with the staff (over the phone and in person) has been a very pleasant one. They are super friendly and very nice to deal with.

I recently decided to give myself a bit of a makeover for my birthday and chose to do it all at Synergy. I am very glad I did.
I started with having a full face Mixto Laser treatment. Karen did the laser procedure and was excellent. It is not the most comfortable process but Karen was careful to make sure I was always doing fine. She also helped me a lot with the after care process. I am so happy with my «new skin.» It really looks smooth and revitalized… and it’s getting better each day!
Next, I had some dermal fillers around my mouth. Karen is great at injecting fillers and has a real eye for placement. I absolutely loved the way I looked after the fillers. Instant age reduction!
Finally, I had dermal fillers around my eyes and a bit more in my cheeks. I was quite nervous about the tear trough areas but Genya did a fantastic job. Her positive professional attitude was a pleasure. She made me feel very comfortable and at ease during the procedure. I am so very happy with the results. I definitely look younger and more rested. So glad I did it and I will not hesitate to do it again in the future.
The entire staff was courteous, knowledgeable and accommodating, as my schedule can make it hard for all involved. Thanks to everyone at Synergy and to Chantelle for all the moral support.

I was so nervous about getting hair laser removed! I have very delicate skin and i bruise like a peach, but i’ve always been interested in what it would take to do it.
I called up Synergy and talked to Hailey, she walked me through the whole procedure and really reassured me that i would be so happy with the results a little bruising wouldn’t mean a thing!
I took her advice and i’m glad i did! Thank you Hailey :)

Loved Synergy! Brought to them by a groupon and was so impressed! THe staff was amazing and it is a little tranquil place of joy! I even left smiling after a brazillian bikini laser hair removal treatment! The nurse on Mondays is AWESOME!
