I specialize in helping couples build equal, intimate and enduring relationships that bring health, joy and meaning to their lives. I provide support and resources to couples wanting to work through a crisis, resolve longstanding issues, or adjust to life changes such as becoming parents or retiring. Some of the most common reasons couples seek my help are: poor communication, infidelity, anger management, loss of intimacy or sexual desire, lack of teamwork in parenting, work and lifestyle stress, depression, anxiety and substance abuse.

I also provide marriage counseling, premarital counseling, couples therapy, and a relationship enrichment program for couples in stable marriages.

In addition to my work with couples, I provide individual and family therapy for a variety of issues.

History

Established in 1985.

After completing my graduate education, I lived in Colorado and Washington State before establishing my practice in Solana Beach in 1985. From 1985 to 2013, I wrote an award-​winning parenting column for San Diego Family Magazine.
