Dr Vakili is truley the best dentist for me personally. Dr Vakili has just the very best ladies working there. When I walk in the door I feel very important and I feel they care about my well being deeply. My teeth are a hereditary mess and Dr. Vakili keeps my teeth looking great. I absolutely will stay with Dr. Vakili as long as I live in California. At this point I would even consider flying to Solana Beach to have her work on my teeth from DC or Hawaii. This dentists office is an absolute for my health and wellness… healthy teeth means a healthy heart.

Today, I went to Vakilli for the 1^st time, she and her entire team were excellent and caring! I would highly recommend her to anyone!

Love Dr V. If you looking for a new smile or just a check up this the place. The staff is always friendly and ready to answer any questions. I never realized how much pain I was in until Dr V aligned my bite, I had never heard of such a thing until she explained what was happening, she released the pressure on my jaw.
I now have a beautiful smile and feel so much better. Would definitely send anyone who wants a great dentist here. The staff is always helpful and extremely friendly.

She has been my dentist for about 19 years now and I always appreciate that she really listens to my needs and concerns. She is top notch & her staff has always been extraordinary over the years!!! Pegga is the best dental hygienist I have ever been to. I have been living outside of the San Diego area for the past 12 years and I travel from a far distance to see Dr. Vakili and Pegga. I have tried other hygienists but find they are not as thorough as Pegga. I think you will be pleased and feel very welcomed & cared for by this team of health care professionals. I’ve been seeing Dr. Vakili for a couple of years now. Every time I go in her and her staff are friendly and helpful. She takes a conservative approach to my care, which I really appreciate. My last dentist continuously tried to sell me services I did not need or could be cured with a more practical approach. I would highly recommend her services to any of my friends and family!

I have been going to Dr. Vakili for 20 years now and I must say she is the BEST! She and her entire office staff is friendly and professional. She has done everything from fillings, a crown, to braces for me and I have been extremely happy with it all! In my times of financial hardships, she has graciously worked with me to arrange payment plans. I am so glad I found her and would not trade her for the world!
As for the negative reviews I have read here, my best guess would be that the reviewers have some issue within themselves that they project onto the world around them.

I have nothing but great things to say about Dr Vakili. Her and her staff have always been amazing! I needed dental implants and I’m so thankful I was referred to her. If you want a great Dr as well as a Dr that really cares about her patients, this is the right place!!!

I can not speak highly enough about Azita and her staff. Please ignore the cranky review below because it’s just not true. Before I came to Azita my teeth had been really messed up by a previous dentist. With incredible skill and care Azita has returned my mouth to a state of health. I no longer have pain and my teeth fit together beautifully. I have been going to Azita for about 7 years now and would never consider going anywhere else. I brought my 89 year old mother to see her and she saved her teeth. She is a truly caring person. The whole staff is wonderful. Stepping into this office is like going to see a friend and you will receive the best care. If I could give her 10 stars I would.

I have to said that I have a lot of dental work done before, but never fell more comfortable and in a good hands, like with Dr. Vakili. She have the great combination of knowledge and human caring, her staff always nice and on top of every need.

I do not like writing bad reviews but I can completely feel for Julia J! I went to Dr. Azita when we first moved here. I loved the staff they are very nice & friendly as is Dr Azita
but it was the Dr’s techniques that I had a problem with.
When I first sat in the chair, I told her it always takes me a long time to get numb. I got a shot & 15 minutes she began drilling without checking just how numb I was (barely) After I almost went thru the ceiling she finally stopped & asked if it was hurting & gave me another shot. Anyway. she fixed a molar w/​a crack & put a crown on it. That tooth has ached ever since but I never went back to her. The tooth finally began to hurt so badly I went to a new dentist & he simply pulled the crown off with his fingers!!! How’s that?! Apparently whatever sealant that was used (not cement) had leaked out and decay had gotten under the crown & I had to have a root canal. He later showed me the inside of the removed crown & the «cement» used was some type of gooey mess when it should have been had and firm as cement is.
This could be a one time deal, but I think people should be aware.

I love this dentist office, I have been a patient here for 3 years and Dr. Vakili is warm, and funny, she makes you feel very at ease and comfortable, I took my 15 year old daughter for dental work and she loved the dental assistants, they spoke to her and explained what they were going to do, and she felt better. The entire staff is great! They are always very professional and upbeat! I have recommended Dr. Vakili to lots of my friends and they love the service and staff. My dental insurance ran out last
year and I still get a substantial discount for all my services. I had an agonizing pain which turned out to be a nerve/​infection and the office took me as an emergency, she cleaned out the infection and I got a temporary at the end of service, and 10 days later a permanent crown! I have never had to wait, they are prompt and courteous! I love office.

Dr. Azita Vakili, DMD of Solana Smiles has been my dentist for over 15 years. She has made my smile one that is white and beautiful. I had a gum that had receded from a car accident when I was younger. Dr. Vakili had my gum brought down and put in place, adjusted my bite from it moving after braces, whitened my teeth to perfection, and gave me a movie star smile. I would recommend her to any colleague, family member (which most of us that are local already use her for our dentistry) or a friend as she is the best at what she does… Prosthodontist, cosmetic and esthetic dentistry, teeth whitening, veneers and bonding, bite adjustment, occlusal equilibration’ and of course teeth cleaning with all your dental niceties. Dr. Vakili is good at what she does and I consider her to be one of the best in the business! I would refer her to anyone… especially if you want that spectacular movie star smile you see in the magazines!!!

Right now, I hate this woman. She is a sadistic, cruel, artificial bitch.
Last summer, I went to her for cleaning, a filling, and a veneer. She had been my mom’s dentist, and my mother was relatively happy with her.
She told me the filling wouldn’t hurt and didn’t provide any analgesic. She proceeded to drill my tooth, causing me to leap involuntarily out of pain every time she hit a nerve. Then she tried to sell me Zoom Whitening even though I made it clear that I wasn’t interested and couldn’t afford it. She fed me lines such as, «How would you feel with whiter teeth?» Now, my teeth are not perfect but they are in good shape and I am not ashamed of them, so I answered her by saying, «Um… I’d feel like my teeth were whiter.» When she continued to pester me with her crappy, obvious sales techniques, I asked her if she wanted to pay for my Zoom treatment, which shut her right up.
I probably should have stopped going to her, but I didn’t. I ended up getting a veneer on one trouble tooth (although, of course, she tried to sell me a full row). The procedure hurt really bad and they didn’t seem very careful.
A few months ago, the tooth with the veneer started hurting. Then it began to chip, leaving me with a brown, decayed-​looking tooth much uglier and more painful than before the dental work. I finally went in yesterday to have the veneer replaced, and had an awful experience.
I was kept waiting, and waiting, and waiting. I finally received the analgesic, but Dr. Vakili kept me waiting for thirty MORE minutes before doing any actual work on the tooth, and by that time, much of the analgesic had worn off. She drilled at my tooth, which HURT, and managed to get water all over me. I said OW several times and tried to wipe off the water, feeling as though I was being tortured during the entire experience. She apologized about the water but did nothing about it, and only injected me with more analgesic after I said OW maybe five or so times.
2+ hrs and maybe 30 mins of actual work later and I was finally free.
Of course, she didn’t bother to give me any pain killers and now I can’t sleep because my mouth hurts so bad. I want to slowly nail forks into her gums.
