Ignite Me

This place opened earlier this year, and I’ve been going since early June. I’m a big fan of the Body Blaze classes. Carlos is friendly, motivating, and challenging, and you can tell fitness is his passion by the way he teaches and relates to his clients.

I first came here for the aerial yoga, but I’ve stuck around because of their Body Blaze classes. I practice yoga often, but lately I’ve been wanting more cardio and strength. The Body Blaze class is just the right thing! I was intimidated at first by all the equipment that I’ve never used, but the instructor shows you how to do each exercise and is around to watch/​correct form if needed.
This was my first experience with HIIT training, so I’ll explain it incase you are a noob like me. After a warm up, there are 5 – 9 stations set up around the gym with a variety of equipment (so far, BOSU, hand weights, boxes, TRX strap thing) or just using your body weight (i.e. burpees). Each exercise is done for 30 – 40 seconds, then you move to the next station. Once you’ve gone through the cycle, there is a small break. Then you do it again for 4 – 5 rounds or so. I’ve had some classes where abs are included in the cycle, and others where they are after. It is an excellent, full body workout, that I definitely would not do on my own.
Aerial Yoga: I really wanted to like it, but turns out I don’t. It has nothing to do with the teacher; she is totally awesome! I tried the restorative class, which was pretty relaxing and fun. I would probably do this one again. However, the flow class was a bit out of my comfort zone, which I totally get is the point. The fabrics were really, really painful (I guess this goes away if you keep doing it) and uncomfortable. The whole twisty, twirly tricks were not for me, so most of the class I was trying to figure out how to keep myself from falling, which I didn’t — I just thought I was going to. The teacher was very helpful in making sure that you were safe and secure.

It’s rare that I Unilocal,but this gym is worth it… I like a complete workout that will really push me. This gym does that– and it’s a lot of fun! Instructors are positive, motivating and personable. The gym itself is clean and classes are small. Great place and great people! Today, I was the only one who signed up for an early class and Carlos stayed anyhow and kicked my butt! Couldn’t say enough great things about this place!

I can’t speak highly enough of this business — Everything from the studio, the workout and the owners are top notch!
The studio is clean and has every piece of equipment you can think of — they are even in the process of adding aerial yoga.
The workout is challenging and fun. Always changing with great music — the hour passes and you’ve had a great workout and can’t wait to come back the next day for more.
Carlos is a great trainer, he’s always offering suggestions for improvement and encourages you throughout the workout. He definitely has a passion for what he does and you can see it personified in the studio.
You should definitely give ignite me a try — you won’t be disappointed!

This is my favorite place. The people and the atmosphere is always wonderful and its full of genuine people. It’s always clean and the workouts are always amazing. Highly recommend this gym. It will show you a wonderful way of life.

¹⁰⁄₅ STARS!!! After going to this studio I will never be able to go back to a gym with treadmills and machines. Even in the group classes I always feel that I have a personal trainer by my side. They encourage me to push myself, correct me if I’m doing something wrong and give me tips on how to get a better workout. There is no room for slacking off here! I have never been so committed to working out before in my life. The results are undeniable. THEY WILL GET YOU THERE! The nutritional advice goes hand in hand with the workouts. I met with Carlos one month ago and he gave me advice on how to tweak my diet to get better results. Since then I have lost 3.9% body fat! Awesome!
The vibe is at the core of what makes this place special: as soon as you walk in Carlos, Arianna, Andrew and Natalie will make you feel right at home. Everybody is friends! There is so much positivity and support. I couldn’t be happier with Ignite!!! Best decision I ever made!

This is my first review on Unilocal… ever. I know I’m way behind the times! But I had to write and share how awesome this gym is. Seriously this gym is rad! No other way to put it. Being a former D-​1 athlete it’s hard for me to find a place that can push me and keep me at that level. The great thing about Ignite though is that the workouts can be catered to anyone. My fiancé was nervous at first coming with me after she had seen me come home drenched in sweat but after she committed to come not only has she found an awesome workout family but most of all an amazing new lifestyle. Carlos and his team are super knowledgable and above all just good people who make you feel welcome and stoked to come in, work hard, and create a better you!

Forget about any regular gym, cross fit, boot camp, ect. Igniteme joins the positives of ALL of them together in a holistic approach that not only produces results, but brings together the body, mind, soul, and nutrition.
I’ve gone here for the last couple months. I can honestly say there is never a dull moment. From Tai Chi Saturday mornings with Andrew, to the always fun and ever changing weekday circuits with Carlos, i don’t notice that I’m working out more effectively in 35 mins rather than 2 hrs in the gym. I can say no more. Love this place. Just try it. You’ll agree.

This place is the real deal. This is my third month working out consistently with the trainers at Ignite Me, and I can really feel a difference. They offer classes many times throughout the day, so I can always find a class that fits with my schedule. I absolutely love all the trainers who work there — they are so welcoming, and create a fun and supportive environment to exercise in. I’ve struggled with committing to workouts, gyms, and other various exercise regimens, but this gym has been easy to stick with, and has helped me gain more confidence and get back to the healthy person I once was. If you are searching for a gym to try out, this is the one!!!

I LOVE IGNITE ME!
I’ve been attending classes now for 3 weeks and can honestly say that I have never enjoyed working out so much. I have been struggling to get back in shape, so I decided to join Ignite Me so that I could push myself a little harder than working alone. I am amazed by how much harder I have been able to work out because of the high-​energy, supportive, and super-​fun environment in the classes. The music is always awesome and the teachers and other students are always yelling out encouragement, so I really can push through exercises that I would never do alone. So far I have done the body blaze class and kick-​boxing which I LOVE. They are amazing cardio workouts, and the classes are small enough that the instructors are able to make adjustments for all of those participating. It’s great that there are all different levels and each individual is pushing his /​her own limits. So inspiring! I also love that there is a really good stretch towards the end of class. I have already learned a few great new stretches and am even training myself to do more stretching at home, as I don’t want to be too sore to miss any classes! I also went to my first «Tea & Tai Chi» class last Saturday morning — REALLY enjoyed it and am going to continue to go. Probably the most mentally stimulating exercise that I have ever done and really is helping me to focus on my balance and being mindful in my movement.
Also included in my membership are 2 FREE 30 minute personal training sessions /​month. So far, I have trained with Carlos, one of the owners. He is the best trainer that I have ever experienced. He immediately had insights on some of the injuries and body aches that I have been experiencing, and after 2 sessions I already feel stronger and more stable. More importantly, we are having so much fun when I’m working out that the time just flies! The following day I can really feel how hard I worked out, and it’s unexpected because I’m so focused on how enjoyable the session was rather than how hard the workout was. Everyone should try out the fitness party, Fuego Friday! I’m really so excited that I found Ignite Me and will post an update on my fitness progress in a month because I truly am seeing results already and can’t wait to share where I am at in a few weeks!

If you’re looking for a clean and spacious gym with a wide variety of classes (yoga, HIIT, Zumba, etc), this is the place for you. This hidden gem is brand new, but the trainers are very experienced and know how maximize your results. I love that the classes are personalized to your fitness level (and you can go at your own pace), so there is no judgement here. I don’t go to the gym to grunt and flex my muscles. I go to the gym to push myself and continually improve. They are very encouraging here, so you will get an amazing workout without the intimidation factor. I also like that they are locally owned and they actually care about their members. Forget your corporate gym and go checkout what you’ve been missing.
