H&R Block

I’ve been putting off writing this, but every time I think about it, I get really frustrated! After previously going to a different H&R Block location and my tax preparer messing up my taxes this year, I needed to get them redone.
I have a busy schedule and had to cut class early just to do my taxes. Thanks Uncle Sam! So fortunately H&R Block had appointments until 10pm.
I want to withhold my tax preparers name because he genuinely seems like a cool awesome guy, but I got the short end of the stick. He kept falling asleep at the computer and I think he computed things wrong, and while I was trying to keep track of what he was doing, he just said sign here and click accept. However he seemed wide awake when he explained to me all the different H&R Block’s different pricing, but I’m a college student and my taxes are super simple so I’ll go for the basic.
Remind you this is 10:30 at night, I’m super tired and he’s super tired, but then decided to keep talking about Comic Con. Yes it’s amazing and I’ve never been, but can we please wrap it up so I can go to sleep as well!
What really frustrated me was how much it cost! This year was 3X what I normally paid and when I asked him why, he was like it was because of your 1099. Ummm ok, you literally checked two boxes and typed two numbers and that’s it, so that’s the reason why it’s costing me 3X my normal amount? I’m missing something and not understanding something, however I couldn’t wait to get the hell out of there. Irony was that he even saved me an 10%, but was still a crazy amount!
Sorry H&R, but I gave you a second chance and there are plenty more places out there who wouldn’t charge me an arm, leg, and the blood of my first non-​existent child.

Tom Furrh was fantastic! Taxes have always been stressful and confusing for me. Not only did Tom explain things to us so that we understand what we need to do to prepare throughout the year, he also made sure that we got our full tax return. Last year we went to someone else who had his own business and we ended up owing money. This year with Tom, we are receiving 3x the amount that we owed last year. Also, it didn’t take long because he knows what he’s doing and he does it well. He definitely definitely deserves all five stars.

Victoria had fast friendly professional service, free coffee, comfortable chairs, a sense of humor, all five stars on Unilocal and her customer comment card! My experience couldn’t have been better. Thank you thank you see you next year and years to come

I was deathly afraid to do my taxes this year, just like every year, I always end up paying and it’s horrible. So I waited till the 15^th like any red blooded American who is going to have to pay thousands of dollars a year for the privileged of living in these grand United States.
Staring at my documents in the weeks before I was like? Should I get a new tax professional? Should I try and do it myself? Documents, receipts, etc in hand I’d pour a hard drink and ponder my options. And of course I’d procrastinate making any appointments at all and shuffled my feet and kicked some some ricks and finally at the deadline, just made an appointment at this H & H Block.
Surprisingly, it wasn’t as painless as I thought! I actually ended up with a leetle bit comin back to me, gee thanks US of A. All that anxiety for nothing.
I believe this year’s refund was due to my savvy and smart tax lady. I’ll probably have ehr go back and check my filings from years past? Who knows! Maybe I’ll end up going shoe shopping at the end of the day, stress free. See you next year H & H.

Got my taxes done in a span of thirty minutes, but took longer since my brother had to get them done too. Ken was the one who helped us and guided us along the whole process with ease. We both have never done our taxes before so it was interesting to see how we could’ve easily lost money if we had done it ourselves. He was extremely honest the whole time and really wanted to help us get as much money we could in our refund; honestly I thought we’d be dealing with people who’d act the opposite. I guess now its a waiting game until that refund shows up in my bank account .
Thanks to Ken and H&R Block for squeezing the last appointment in for us and Ken for working with us past office hours and being a trooper! Ill definitely be coming back to have Ken do my taxes hehe: D
