Glamour Nails – Solana Beach

I go to Stacy there, and she is amazing! She never keeps me waiting more than a couple minutes, she does a great job and doesn’t take forever. She never tries to sell me on things I don’t want, and is very nice. MUCH better than their other locations. It isn’t usually too crowded and the staff are much friendlier here.

Finding a new nails place every time we move is one of my least favorite things to do… I am very picky! Tristy does an amazing job! The prices are a tad high, but it’s Solana Beach ;)

I promise to keep this short. I had my ‘speedy’ gel manicure on Sunday. Well, guess what, it’s only Tuesday and my nails are already lifting!
I usually can easily go at least two weeks.
Too bad, too, because I really wanted to go back to Glamour Nails. Choose your nail salon wisley.

This place is awful! I have been there a few times as it is highly convenient and if you must go, have Tricy do your nails but if she is not available DO NOT go there! I wish I had the name of the lady that did my nails (specifically my gel manicure) she rushed even though I was the only person there and my nails are already peeling off (it’s been 2 days!) waste of money… Not even worth going back and having them re-​done! I will never go here again!

I had an issue and the owner took care of it quickly and I can appreciate the passion behind the gesture. Thank you Tina for having great customer service!

This place is super cute. Adeline is great! She does the best flowers on my toes! They don’t always give the longest massage but the quality of the finished paint is great! We come here for pedicures maybe once a month or so.

First let me say that I have tried this place a couple years ago and was completely turned off by the service. I decided to go back and try it out again and had a few nice gel fills done. But, once again the service and attitude towards me was rude. Are $ 5 tips not sufficient for a gel fill? I called for a pedicure appointment and showed up on time. They had me waiting in a foot soak for almost a half an hour and did not even bother to check up. I walked up to the the gal who was originally helping me, and she said she was «sorry about that» and went right back to work on someone else. Didn’t indicate how much longer I would have to wait– but the way she said she was sorry indicated to me that she didnt know how much longer it would take and that if i was trying to keep a time schedule, it might be a while.
This has happened to many times– will not go back again… even to give a third chance.

Excellent service, hidden gem. You guys need a sign! Ample parking too! I live in SB and all the other places don’t compare

I have been coming here for manicures, pedicures and eyebrow waxing
for eight years and it has been a consistently great experience. Vivian is
wonderful. My gel pedicure lasts for over a month and my nails for 2
weeks (more if I’m not swimming in the pool).
Everyone is very nice and the new chairs are extremely comfortable.
They now use basins with disposable plastic liners to prevent infection
and Vivian consistently applies sunscreen on my hands for the ultraviolet
lights. She also gives great arm and foot massages.

This place is awful. Spend your money elsewhere.
I’m not normally disappointed with an hour of pampering, but this place is the worse nail place I’ve ever been to. I came here around 6:15pm on a Tuesday for a Mani/​Pedi. They close at 7pm, so I thought there was a chance they’d only have time for one service, but they took me for both and did them at the same time. The manicure was terrible. It took about 10 minutes, and the paint job looks like it was done in 30 seconds (see photo of shoddy job). I left with a hangnail, half of my nails only had 70% of the top coat on them, and a line across them from where it was left off. By the evening 2 of my nails had already chipped.
The pedi was better, but still not what I’ve experienced at other nail salons. The water was too hot, and she never asked what temperature I liked. The baths are lined with loose plastic and the jets go over your feet, so are basically pointless. I had to operate the massage chair myself to scoot up so my feet would reach the end of the tub. All things that are usually done for me at other places.
I left at 6:47pm with the lady taking the last towels away from me so she could through them in the laundry. Look, I get that you close at 7pm, but if you have customers in the salon, you should treat them as though they just paid you to be there — because they did.

I have been here twice. I really like the owner Kim and the place is super clean. I suggest you take off your own shellac because they charge even if you’re getting a new mani but I will definitely go back because of the professionalism, customer service, attention to detail, and cleanliness.

I came here for a pedicure yesterday. It wasn’t overly busy but full. I was greeted at the door and asked to select a nail color. The person who greeted me started yelling and arguing with the woman who was going to do my nails. I’m not sure of the altercation but it was clear the the woman who was to do my nails was in the wrong and she was trying her best to blame someone else. The two women did this in front of me for a few minutes. I had to ask if they needed me to wait some where else while they sorted things out. From there things got worse. The woman handling me kept nicking me… I have the nicks on my toes to prove it. No matter how many times I flinched she kept digging in. Then came the massage… as she was rubbing only my shin bones, not any of the fleshy area, she’s got her head turned watching TV. She looked bored and apparently was because when she wasn’t looking at the TV, she was nodding off! I asked her if she was tired and she said yes… that she hadn’t had a day off. She then asked me if I worked. I said yes. She asked how many days a week. I said it depends on the week… sometimes 5 and sometimes 7. She snorted like she didn’t believe me and said she works 6 days a week. I asked if she needed a few minutes to herself because I didn’t mind waiting. Once she finished painting my toes, she watched more TV and observed her co-​workers, so I did too. The other woman were excellent. The massages and care they were giving their clients was so much better and none of them appeared to be falling asleep.

Standard nail salon for an affordable price. I thought she did a great job and was very thorough with my pedicure. They ask the usual questions and try to get you to add services but are very friendly and that made it easier to deal with. I will definitely be returning :)

This place is fabulous, clean, the ladies are super nice. The prices are good.
Adeline does a great job as a manager and great pedi. Vivian did my mani she is so sweet.

It was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a nail salon. I went to get shellac manicure. My French tips looked like a 3 year old painted them, nails were all different shape, I had a huge amount of gel underneath my nails… I was also very disappointed to see they use cheap Equate brand hand cream, not to mention the buzzers going off every few minutes for no apparent reason, making you feel like: hey, your time is up! I could go on and on about this place…

Kim does my manicure almost weekly and she is very good, always friendly and caring. Holly does my pedicures and the foot massage is amazing. It’s so nice to make an appointment and get such great service with a smile.

I had their version of a «shellac» nail polish done, and it didn’t even last 1 week! Compared to the 3 – 4 weeks that I experience with shellac from other places, 1 week is horrible! Not to mention the manicure polish was all bubbly under the surface. Yuck! I used to come here a lot in the past, but I don’t think I’ll be coming back again.
2 stars because the pedicure was well done, and they let me take a cat nap in the chair while they were working.

I really liked my experience at Glamour Nails. I have not done the routine before and they were very helpful. The manicure and pedicure were both very nicely done. I made my next appointment before I left… glad to return.

I went to Glamour Nails about a month ago and all I can say is ugh! My friend had recommended it, so I made an appointment for me, my friend, and my mom. I intentionally made the appointment very far in advance because I had a strict time schedule that day. It was the day before my wedding and I needed to get to my rehearsal at a certain time.
So, I got there only 5 minutes late. Walked in and the place was packed. The lady told me that I was 5 minutes late so she took a walk-​in instead. Really? Really? I was 5 MINUTES late. That’s it. Even if I came on time there would have only been one lady available. We had three people needing their nails done. I had 3 hours before I had to be downtown and it didn’t look like I was going to get in anytime soon. After they told me that they took a walk-​in instead, they told me in a rude fashion to wait. We stood there for about 15 minutes without them apologizing or telling us when we would be able to get in. I made an APPOINTMENT for a reason. Isn’t that what appointments are for? To ensure that you can get in and out when you need to.
I was very angry at their lack of professionalism. So, I found another place called Professionail that was just on the other side of the 5 highway. Once I started to walk out THEN they acknowledged my presence. They started to tell me, «OHHHH ONLY 5 MORE MINUTES.» I told them no and I left.
When I called Professionail I asked them if they had openings in the next 10 minutes for 3 people. They said yes come right over. Once I got there they were SOO NICE. They took all three of us right away. They did our mani and pedis at the same time and I was out the door in 45 minutes. The place was wayyy cleaner and nicer too. GO TO PROFESSIONAIL INSTEAD! SO MUCH BETTER!
NEVER GOING TO GLAMOUR NAILS AGAIN!

I have been going to this place every two weeks for over 2 years now. I get 2 mani’s a month and 1 pedi. Stacy, Holly and Idalene make this place feel like home. They even got me a cake on my birthday.
I love the work they do, the cleanliness of the place, music and TV. The OPI colors are fresh and up to date. They are appropriately priced and definitely worth the money. I give Glamour Nails, Solana Beach 5 stars!
