Cook with Jason offers a variety of cooking classes & culinary experiences in Solana Beach and Encinitas.

On Sundays, join his Farmer’s Market Foodventure.

Take a culinary tour through Solana Beach & explore the Farmer’s Market for locally sourced ingredients, sample & learn from experts how to cook with freshly-​pressed olive oils at Temecula Olive Oil Co, tour & taste craft brew made on-​site at Culture Brewing Co or enjoy wine tasting at award-​winning Carruth Cellars, and participate in a hands-​on cooking class. Each menu is customized based on what’s in season. Finish with a meal you helped prepare utilizing fresh herbs from the garden. Feast on locally sourced produce, meats and seafood w/​flavors & spices from around the globe.

Reservations online! Limited to 10 people for an intimate experience.

On Wednesdays, join a two-​hour cooking class, including a mini-​tour of the Encinitas Farmer’s Market. Learn knife techniques, organizational skills & new flavor combos to help you enjoy cooking at home. This hands-​on class concludes with dinner you helped prepare. Limited to 10.

On alternate Wed, 90-​minute demonstrations highlight Jason’s favorite «kitchen hacks», time-​saving techniques to increase your cooking time while not compromising on flavor. The class offers plenty of samples of dishes made with locally sourced ingredients. Limited to 10 – 20.

Special events with customized Foodventures or classes are available for small groups who wish to book the entire class.

History

Established in 2015.

Cook with Jason is designed to bring together food enthusiasts who wish to experience local cuisine, learn how to enhance their cooking at home and expand their repertoire. Each class utilizes fresh locally sourced ingredients and herbs for a garden-​to-​table culinary experience. He has relationships with the best local purveyors who are committed to their craft including Carlsbad Aquafarm, Temecula Olive Oil, Culture Brewing Co and Carruth Cellars.

A percentage of proceeds from each cooking class goes directly to the Boys and Girls Club’s Center for a Healthy Lifestyle to support the farm to table cooking classes for disadvantaged youth. Jason serves as an instructor for their summer camps.

Business Owner

Over the past decade, Jason Roehm has served as a culinary instructor, actor, personal chef and private event caterer. With a Master’s degree in Education, he has more than 10 years of teaching experience, working with adults, teens and kids alike. He is committed to working with a community of like-​minded individuals, utilizing the best locally sourced ingredients and products. Jason also serves as an instructor at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Encinitas and Solana Beach Center for a Healthy Lifestyle, working with kids to learn farm-​to-​table cooking.
