Code29

I called Code29 because of issues I was experiencing with my HP computer not starting up and feared a potentially failed hard drive. I had done some tests at home from forums I read but after several attempts I was unable to fix the issue myself. I took my computer in and after a couple hours they called me to let me know they were able to save my drive and back it up. They took away all of the anxiety that comes with dealing with the unknown world of computer repair. Even though I do need a new hard drive, they were able to save my files! I’m so glad I didn’t wait any longer — if I had, I’m sure it would have crashed and burned soon.
They were totally reasonably priced and the guy that helped me was very helpful and knowledgeable. He provided great service and made me feel like saving my files were his priority. Thank you!

I’ve used Code 29 twice. A couple of years ago, my computer was completely disabled by a nasty virus. Couldn’t fix it myself with Spybot, etc. so I took it in. They solved the problem and tuned up the computer in a timely way and the price was fine. Then, today I had to take it in because we had a DVD stuck in the DVD drive. The guy who helped us took the computer apart right there and removed the stuck DVD. Took just a few minutes and best of all, they didn’t charge me anything, which I really thought was classy. (Yes, it only took a few minutes, but I would have been happy to pay a small charge.) Anyway, we don’t need computer services all the time, but it’s great to have them in the neighborhood when we need help!

The first time we used Code 29 we had a great experience…
So when i dropped my computer and needed to get it fixed, i thought I could stop by and get it fixed like the first time.
The employee said that the part was to be order THAT day from Texas and should arrive the following week. He said he would contact me when the part comes in
(mind you, this was right before finals week and i needed my laptop asap!)
He gave me an estimate of about $ 120… ok…
A week rolls by… no contact. So I decided to take the initiative to call. The man on the phone was trying to be helpful, and, it isn’t his fault, but this is where things went south.
Apparently the employee who was helping me got fired from the job, but not only did he apparently not even order in the part i needed, he never even left contact information or ANYTHING about my business there. The man on the phone took down all of my information and said he would call me back.
Several days later I FINALLY get a call back just to be told that I had to take my laptop to a «certified Dell specialist» because there was no way that the part could be ordered… so after being told that the part was to be ordered one day, I am now being told they can’t get that part AT ALL.
So, I went on eBay, found the part, expedited it to my house (it only cost $ 40) and fixed the damn thing myself. Kind of fishy that I get told the part can’t be ordered at all yet there were hundreds of that exact part on eBay…

Twice went in to discuss my virus bashed system, and both times was treated as a valued new customer. Received logical advice on how to evaluate on my own. Rare high quality customer service was a real treasure to find. Am sharing with all I know, no hesitation to recommend these guys!

Code 29^th has provided great support on a number of technology issues recently. They did a thorough job of testing and troubleshooting. They resolved software conflicts and got my computer running again. I will definately use their services again.

Put in new hard drive in laptop & were supposed to copy ovet everything from old hard drive to new one. Yeah right. Lost all kinds of pictures, all kinds of tax records, lost everything in MS Outlook.ridiculous. Oh yeah. drove all the way from downtown to cone pick up my computer and arrived at 4:45 Pm but sign in the door saying they were out on appointments. Lots of young adults who don’t know crap about real business hours. Never again.

This place is great. Zack is the man. They know what needs to be done and they do it at a very fair price. Great service hopefully I will not need to be back but if I do I know where to come Thanks bob Fillion

Horrible second experience. Dropped computer off in the morning and was told it would be done by 2:00pm. Friendly and helpful guy in the morning but after returning at 2pm I was told he had to leave and could not complete it on time which was fine. The comments mumbled while getting my PC back weren’t needed. The lady mumbled that my PC was a piece of junk because she couldn’t figure out how to put the panel back on. After walking in to the front and dropping it on its side on the front desk she questioned whether the CPU that purchased for replacement was actually mine. After checking my desktop tower in the car; they left scratches and dents in multiple places.
Some people that work at this location care and I’ve had great service previously but today just wasn’t a good day I guess.

I’m really pleased with the service at Code 29. My operating system became corrupted after I tinkered with it a little too much. They explained how I could do the repair myself at no charge or they would do it for me for a reasonable fee. I really appreciated the offer. They are truly service minded and not just after your money. I did go ahead and have them take care of it. They re-​installed my operating system and all my software promptly and for a super reasonable cost… Love this place. HIghly recommend.

These guys are the greatest! Anytime I have computer problems I bring my computer in and they take care of the problem. Today I brought in my 6 year old Lenovo that likely needs to finally be replaced. The gentleman behind the counter not only fixed my current dinosaur of a laptop for free, but recommended a replacement laptop for me to purchase. He helped me free of charge, simply wanted me to get the most out of my current computer and get a good deal on my next one. Thanks Code29, anytime I need a computer fixed, you will be my first call.

Code 29 came to my rescue again! I got a serious virus on my computer and it was wreaking havoc. Matthew from Code 29 was at my boutique in minutes. It took a few visits but I think he managed to kick the stupid thing out of my computer. I’m so glad they do home/​store visits. I can’t function without a computer at my boutique and he worked around us. Very reputable and polite. Hopefully I won’t need them again but if I do I know who to call!

Scott and Matt are amazingly efficient. I was quoted a 4 day turn around from a highly reputable computer company and I found Code 29. They ordered my part overnight I dropped my macbook pro to them the next day at lunch and it was ready the next morning. Less than 24 hours! I’m highly impressed. I will continue to use them for all my mac needs!

Great service. Brought in an older Dell with blue screen syndrome. They ran some tests and found a bad memory chip which they removed. I still had 2 gigs left which is plenty so I didn’t replace chip. No charge for the service since it was diagnostics only! Will I be back? Oh yeah!

Very pleasant to work with, prices good, seem to know Macs well — pleased with the service and recommend. Too bad they do not work on computers over the weekend, which means we have to surrender the machine during the working week.

I don’t even know where to begin. 5 star customer service all around. Scott and his team helped me fix a what may seem like a minor issue to most but to me is the main communication between our San Diego office and 400 employees in Celaya, Mexico (yahoo messenger). I could not view any text in my messenger window after hitting enter! Scott and his team helped me fix this problem over two days and never once did he mention a price to me or overwhelm me with concerns of receiving payment. Code29 can be rest assured that ANYTIME an IT issue comes up within our company both in the US or Mexico, they are the first company we will call since our IT guy is always in tuned with larger issues! These guys are great! My laptop HD crashed with more than 1,000 files on it, and did not have any backup of them. I tried Fry’s, but they would charge me tons of money! The guys from Code29 not only recovered these files, but all the files from my HD! and better, much much cheaper than Fry’s! Awesome!

I travel a lot for work and last week was in San Diego when I had some computer challenges that could not be fixed remotely. During my search to have a quick local fix, I came across ITz. I was so impressed with their quick response, ability to come out to my location, and quickly fix the problem. Everyone involved was professional, knowledgeable, and very helpful.
