Cedar Sage Massage

Jennifer to the rescue! I was staying in Solana Beach for two months and my legs were killing me — especially the leg with the total knee replacement. Not knowing any massage therapists in the area I was so lucky to find Jennifer. I couldn’t believe the relief I experienced during and after her massage! I’m walking and sleeping without pain again. Thanks to her my stay in SoCal will be as enjoyable and pain-​free as I hoped it will be.

I’ve been fortunate enough to try quite a few different massage places. My search for a regular spot is over. Jennifer has the most friendly and positive energy. She asks you if there is a particular area or emotion you want to work on and then she incorporates several different techniques in each massage. I don’t want to give to much away because it was such a pleasant surprise. I’m a regular now. I just can’t say enough good things about her.

I’m not comfortable with letting just anyone give me a massage. But I’m totally comfortable with Jennifer. I had my second massage today with Jen, and what a fabulous experience! She’s warm, caring, very knowledgeable, asked what areas needed attention and focused on that while still paying attention to the rest of my body. I recommend indulging in the 90-​minute massage to allow enough time, especially if there’s a specific area that needs more attention.

I don’t often take the time to review places I’ve been, but when I go somewhere great that doesn’t have any or many reviews, I like to let people know. I’m one of those people who doesn’t usually try something without a few positive reviews, so I’m sure there are others out there like that as well.
Jennifer, the owner, at Cedar Sage Massage was amazing. She was very personable, asked if I had preferences, spots I didn’t want massaged, etc. The fact that she was so down to earth, told me exactly what she was doing, and her story about opening her own business, really helped me relax. She definitely put me at ease for my first ever body wrap. She has a firm touch, found my problem areas without me having to say, and didn’t go overboard with the pressure. I am a firm believer that massages should be a tiny bit painful, otherwise the tension and toxins won’t be released. And her massage was perfect! A little painful, but I wasn’t sore or bogged down with a tension headache for the rest of the day.
Her shop is really a room in an office suite right next to Bangkok Bay Thai Restaurant. Personally, I had no problem with the fact that it wasn’t a full suite just for her as I’m sure it helps keep the costs down. All you really need is a room and a table, anyways. But she had plenty of wonderful touches from lavender essential oil to relax you, heated stones and towels, hooks for your bag/​clothes, water, a fan in case you get too hot, etc.
In the short of it, I more than recommend Cedar Sage Massage for anyone who wants a great massage at a great price!

Wow I am thoroughly satisfied with my massage with Jennifer. I found her through groupon and plan to see her continuously now. She will honor the groupon price just ask her! The location was very easy to find. It’s in the small strip mall just off the 101. The same shopping center as the famous Bangkok Bay restaurant just 3 doors down! Parking was plentiful at 10am with a two hour limit. She basically rents one room with other offices. So don’t except a relaxation lounge, locker room or shower. But for the price it can’t be beat! Her massage was very firm just how I liked it. I’m a side sleeper so I had some kinks in my shoulders and she spent time working through them. I didn’t even tell her I had tension there. A good therapist will know. She had all these extra touches like aromatherapy, hot towels and even a foot scrub at the end! Wow I’ve never had that before! I love how she ends the massage with a soft mediation bell sound. Her energy was fantastic and she truly seems excited and happy to give you a relaxing experience! 5 stars!

If you live in San Diego then you know that looks can be deceiving when it comes to our strip malls. This was definitely the case with Cedar Sage. It’s not much to look at from the outside, but as soon as Jennifer met me in the parking lot and took me inside I knew I was in for a treat! I didn’t see much of the waiting room, since everything was all ready when I got there, but what I did see looked very cute. The massage itself was one of the better I have had — great pressure, extra time on the areas I requested — but it was all the small details that really did it for me. Heated table, lightly scented face pillow, an awesome food scrub and rose water sprits at the end. I felt like I had ordered some extravagant spa treatment, not just the normal Swedish massage. Only reason I don’t give it a 5 is that given the size of the place there didn’t seem to be anywhere you can hang out and relax/​hydrate after for a little bit, which I do like to do after a massage. Overall though I definitely plan to return. Well worth it!

Bought a groupon on a whim and was really pleased that I did! Jennifer was wonderful, very friendly and professional. She was thorough in asking questions to determine the best individualized treatment. I felt great afterward and would return again! I highly recommend Jennifer to anyone looking for a customized massage experience.

I’m very picky about my massage but Jennifer is the best! I am an athlete and need a lot of work but she was very attentive and exceeded my expectations. Not only was the massage relaxing and therapeutic, she was able to focus on my problem areas for a lot of relief. I am very excited to have back in San Diego! She will definitely become a huge staple in my training this season.

Jennifer is outstanding! Her massage isn’t the kind that just feels nice while you are receiving it (though it certainly does) — it makes you feel so much better afterwards too. So much tension released — I can’t get over how different I feel now than before I walked into my appointment this afternoon. She cares about what is going on with you and customizes accordingly, incorporating essential oils if you desire — she is incredibly intuitive in her technique and can figure out how much pressure to apply without having to interrupt your relaxation to ask for feedback. Jennifer was clearly being whole-​heartedly authentic when she told me that she loves her work — she has wonderful energy and makes you feel amazing! Also her location has a lot, so there is no hassle searching for parking on the street.
