What does every parent who loves music wish for? Children’s music that they can actually enjoy listening to with their kids. Now you have it. AJ and the Flip Flops is an original music, acoustic rock, ska, rockabilly and blues-​inspired band writing and performing children’s music that adults love, too. The songs sneak a life lesson into fun lyrics that can be enjoyed many times over by all ages.

The fun, quirky tunes of AJ and the Flip Flops are interactive learning experiences teaching children lessons through song, incorporating reading, as in the song «ABC’S,» math («Plus One»), ambition («Anything that I want to be»), and manners («Magic Words»). The songs «Dance, Dance, Dance,» and «Shakey Shakey Shakey» are participation numbers that encourage large motor skills with upbeat and playful lyrics kids can’t help but want to move to.

AJ and the Flip Flops are available to play festivals, parties, and events of almost any kind!

History

Established in 2010.

Archie, Jacob and their good friend Lee (also a Dad and musician) thought how much fun it is to play music and sing with our kids and how much we enjoy entertaining in general. It was a perfect match.

Meet the Business Owner

Archie Archbold A.

Business Owner

Archie, a successful restaurateur, as well as an accomplished

musician having played hundreds of shows, has written and produced original

music for over 15 years. He is co-​owner of two Bub’s Dive Bars, First Street

Bar, as well as a fourth restaurant located in Oklahoma.

Jacob, Archie’s son is three years old. Archie has been playing music for Jacob since he can remember. They just sit around the house sometimes and sing songs about whatever is going on that day. He remembers one day when Archie started to sing a song to him about how it’s time to go to sleep. Unfortunately the song was so much fun to sing that they ended up staying up for a while singing it (Jacob is trying to get him to put it on the next CD, we’ll see how that goes).
