Sno Falls Credit Union

I imagine that the low rating of this establishment is due to the fact that the Credit Union and the Licensing Dept. within it are separate entities. Furthermore, it’s kind of confusing and I’m not sure why they exist as one entity, but, they do.
I don’t have any empirical experience with the Credit Union section of this place, but the Licensing Dept. was super-​duper-​bad-​ass.
I guess I should preface this story line by saying that I’m from California – I can almost hear the collective «ugh» from all of you… stop it. I know California sucks. The DMV in California is polar opposites from this place, and that’s ANY California DMV.
It took me all of 3 minutes to see a person about getting my car registered. «Wha-​whaaat», you say. Yeah, I know. Crazy. I’ve been there twice and each time was about a 3 minute wait. California it’s a mandatory 3 hour wait – and that’s when you have an appointment. Under NO circumstances are you to ever go into a Cali. DMV without an appointment. That’s just stupid.
And getting my license took me literally 10 minutes. But that’s another story.
I had to deal with California to get my title faxed over and guess what… yep, that was the worst and most frustrating part. If I didn’t have to deal with California it would have been easy. After I took care of dealing with California, which took around 8 days of BS, they finally got my title over to this Licensing Dept.
«Walk right in, sit right down, baby let your hair hang down» was the theme song this place should have been playing. They actually had the plates there too, normally in California – it’s another 3 weeks of them sending the plates to the wrong address, then another 4 weeks of dealing with the DMV to get the right address and finally get them to you… not here… I almost fainted when she pulled out the actual plates. WTH… Where am I? Check my pulse.
Long story short, and short story strong… this place was amazing and if you go, I hope you get Vita, she was awesome and full of great info.

I wouldn’t waste my time at this place trying to get a lost title. They are so degrading non-​understanding and rude. They claim to have «Friendly, helpful service» … YEAH RIGHT. They let me know my car title was «undeliverable» and that the title was shredded… Now I have to REPAY the $ 125 to resend one out… AINT THAT SOME ****

This is a fantastic credit union. I started putting my money there because of all the fees and other nonsense from the big banks. The staff is very helpful and friendly. They’ve helped me for loans, wire transfers, and just my usual banking. Their loan process is very streamlined, and they are able to make decisions that the big banks cannot. Plus their rates are extremely competitive.

Wanted to support a local business and perhaps wean myself from the «big bank» system that is no longer very customer friendly. Big mistake.
First off, this place does double duty as a Washington state licensing branch, so while you’re talking about your personal finances with one of their staff, there are any number of strangers looking over your shoulder and hearing every detail of what you’re discussing. Very strange and discomforting. Add to this the fact that the aforementioned staff is very rude, unprofessional, and apparently oblivious to the fact that they are involved in a business where privacy and security are important components. My administrator actually shouted out my social security number to her colleague across the room at one point!
If you crave the kind of down home banking service that might have been popular on Walton’s Mountain back in the 1940’s you might like this place. Those of us that require something more contemporary are still stuck with those big banks, at least for now.
