History

Established in 2014.

Because we love our own cats, I have decided to take an extra bedroom not being used and converting into a special place to board other peoples cats. Each cat has it’s own special place to stay. All cats have a space for bedding and eating with an entrance into their own private kitty litter area. Each cat has activity time with play time and an out side screened area for relaxation. Plenty of personal attention.

I am retired and now spend my time at home enjoying my garden, honey bees and the beautiful cats that call my place home. I was a chaplain with ministries helping out truck drivers, senior citizens and troubled youth. I enjoy sharing with my grandchildren when they stop over. Our property is located in a quite area with natural sounds and a water fall with lots of birds for the cats to enjoy.

Our Shih Tzu (Lilly) stayed at Kozy Kats for 9 nights 6⁄30 −7÷9÷2015. After meeting Julie and and observing the environment, my husband and I had such a good feeling about leaving her. Our feelings were right, Lilly had a great stay, she was very content when we came to pick her up and not overly excited to leave. I would recommend Kozy Kats to anyone who wants their small dog or cat nurtured and cared for, Julie goes above and beyond !

We used to live in Chicago and always had friends watch her. When we would pick her up she would always be very quiet– almost upset. We dropped our beloved Bombay kitty, Kemily, here for 4 days this past week and when we picked her up, she was happy, purring, and meowing uncontrollably. I could definitely tell she had a good time. The cats seem to live in a room with fairly large cages. The windows to the room open out to the yard with a cage protruding through. It’s a very clever way to give cats some air and sun without risking their escape!
Julie, the owner is a sweetheart. She seems very attentive and followed our feeding, grooming, and attention-​giving instructions. She also gave us a sample of honey they produce. We have tried it yet but that was very thoughtful.
We had a great experience with Kozy Kats and will definitely return. FYI, the overnight rate is $ 20– which we think is well worth the level of attention given.

I boarded my cat and small dog for 6 days at Kozy Kats and couldn’t be happier! The place is very clean, the set up is great and you genuinely can tell they love animals! My cat is 14 and on special diet which they catered to. My dog loved it there and now, the mention of their dog’s name gets him so excited to go back! They were very happy while there and I knew they were in good hands. They both loved the window perches. Thank you Kozy Kats!

While in a moving transition we boarded our two cats, Penny and Kramer for about 8 weeks total at Kozy Cats. The place was immaculate clean our cats were fat and happy when we picked them up. Julie the owner of Kozy Cats treats and loves the cats as if they were their own. Great people and a Great place to trust your cats to.
