Snohomish Event Center

We got married here last weekend. October 10, 2015! The best decision I made my whole wedding planning was to get married here! Not only is the venue beautiful and in a great location, the gals who work with you are amazing! I worked with Tarra. She’s so nice and pleasant to work with. She gave me avert thing I asked for and if I were to ever need a big space to rent for an event again, I will definitely be back! There are different styled rooms for you to choose from. You barely need any decorations. It’s so pretty inside! You can bring in your own caterer which was a great addition! You won’t be disappointed!
The bride room was my favorite! Big and beautiful. Loved getting ready with all my girls in one room!

We got married here last weekend and this venue is one of the best decisions we made when it came to our wedding plans! We worked with Danielle and Tarra throughout our planning process and they were always extremely helpful. Danielle was super prompt with answering any questions I threw her way (and I threw A LOT of questions her way) even when she was on maternity leave.
We had our ceremony in the Somerset room and our reception upstairs in the Magnolia room. We had a big wedding (over 250 guests) and there was plenty of space.
You’re also allowed to bring in your own liquor and catering; a lot of venues we looked at made you use the ones they have; it’s nice to have that freedom. There also weren’t any extra charges tacked onto the venue; another thing I ran into a lot when looking at other venues. The nursery was also a big plus; we requested our guests don’t bring children since the guest list was already so big, but of course we had some out of towners that didnt have much of a choice. The parents got a bit of a break with that nursery being there so they could party with the adults a little.
The only couple of downfalls were:
–no air conditioning (even in late September, it gets hot in there when there are that many guests)
–when you book the venue, you have to book each room separately, even though no other events are allowed during that day; booking the Somerset room for the ceremony almost didnt happen. In the end, we chose to do it because it would have been a lot more stressful to move the furniture around after the ceremony, but it was a little bit of a bummer that we had to pay extra. However, Danielle worked with us to get that price lowered a little bit as well from what it was originally.
I can’t speak highly enough about the beautiful venue and Danielle and Tarra.

***NO AIR-​CONDITIONING! This is the most important part of my review for this venue. With 100+ guests at this venue it heats up SUPER FAST! There are tons of fans but it did not HELP! I don’t suggest this venue for hot weather weddings. The bridal party was sweating like crazy and the last thing you want for a wedding or big events is a glossy shiny face in photos. ***The Bridal & Grooms rooms are RIGHT NEXT TO ONE ANOTHER. This is a huge NO, NO you can hear everything that is said in-​between rooms and it’s almost impossible to hide the bride from the groom before the ceremony. We decided to move the bridal room to a smaller room just to prevent the groom from seeing her. It was very inconvenient especially since the other rooms are not as nice as the two main rooms. ***The lighting in the Bridal & Grooms rooms is HORRIBLE! Don’t expect to do hair and makeup or even touchups in those rooms. *** A small but great feature at this venue was that there are key pad locks on the bridal & Grooms room. So no one can get in unless you have the code. This came in great use. The wedding party had a place to leave purses, wallets, clothes, etc during the wedding without stress. ***On a lighter note the venue is gorgeous! The photos and videos on the website do NOT give this venue justice at all. The venue is much more GRAND and BEAUTIFUL than what it shows online. There are multiple rooms to choose from for your event. The only thing I DON’T suggest is to do a ceremony & reception all in the same room. Promise me when I say this, spend a little more money and get yourself (2) separate rooms so the setup is all done for you. ***I suggest the venue to invest in getting new video clips, and photos for their webpage. The current webpage looks dated, the photos of the different rooms aren’t done well. If I was the bride I would have looked right past this venue all because of the website. I’m sure there are many other people that do the same not expecting the venue to look as nice and beautiful as it does. **Other perks about the venue that you might not think of. –Multiple private bathrooms, The elevator helps with the catering since the kitchen is on the second floor, there is a kids room for the younger ones and it was perfect to take the smaller kids when they start getting fussy, there is a huge grand fancy dark wood bar with tons of counter-​space, large kitchen area perfect for a buffet line to go through and right out and around to the other side, this venue is large enough to accommodate small weddings but also large 300+ weddings, lots of parking, great location, nice open spaces with great décor and in walking distance to the water for the perfect wedding photos… etc. I hope this review helps! I got married last weekend at the Snohomish Event Center in the Somerset room and it is an amazing value! The rooms are all beautiful and they are decorated so perfectly, you don’t need to get a lot of decorations yourself! We only used linens and flowers and it was just BEAUTIFUL! I worked with Tarra through the whole planning process and she was wonderful. She always answered my questions thoroughly and made the whole planning process easy for me! I’m so glad we chose this venue. Oh also the bride and groom’s rooms are gorgeous, and they have a nursery/​playroom which is really awesome if you have any kids coming! So glad I chose this venue: o)

September was absolutely amazing to work with. She always answered my every question with confidence and patience. She was available whenever I needed her. My fiancé and I booked our wedding with September last year and decided on the Magnolia room (the top floor). The whole set up is beautiful. The venue has such a good flow to it but it is very versatile at the same time. They have a huge kitchen, elevator and storage space for you to use. Our wedding was on January 25^th, 2015 and we could not have been happier. I don’t recommend places lightly, but I would recommend the Snohomish Event Center and September to anyone and everyone.

Breanne is no longer there, but I have been working closely with September and she is just as amazing and a pleasure to work with.
