Snohomish Automotive

I’ve had Snohomish Automotive and their sister location in Lake Stevens service my three family vehicles for 7+ years and would highly recommend them to family and friends. Finding a good mechanic you can trust is precious.
I love the fact that the educate me on what needs to be done to my vehicle to keep it going so I can plan for maintenance expenses and downtime. They recently diagnosed and fixed a warning light on my dash that came on and would not go off. Nice to know they have a high moral compass as well as I feel like I’m never taken advantage of. Good people who stand behind their service.

Snohomish Automotive has been hands down, THE best auto shop I have ever done business with. I was fed up with previously terrible experiences with Bucky’s in Lynnwood, WA. So glad I found Snohomish Automotive; they are locally owned, attentive, and fast to respond to appointments and getting parts/​repairs done. The very first time my car ended up at their shop, the owner himself drove me to a car rental place nearby — I equate their customer service to «Nordstrom» style service. Eric and the team at the Snohomish store have been over the top helpful, respectful and quick to get my car repairs accomplished — I once got my oil change done at a Walmart — and they left off the cap during the service and so no oil was getting to my engine for days — When I took my rig back to Walmart they suggested I get the problem diagnosed with a mechanic — Of course, I took it to Snohomish Automotive (where I should have taken it for the oil change in the first place) they diagnosed the problem and even helped me battle with the claims dept at Walmart to get me a brand new engine at no cost to me, for the crap job Walmart did messing up my vehicle. The crew at Snohomish Automotive is true down-​home service, with incredible expertise and professionalism with a smile — I appreciate them and highly recommend them to anyone who wants a courteous and quality shop for their car needs. 5 Stars!

I went in for a simple oil change. Nothing I couldn’t do myself but I like to have my car checked out and for the minimal cost, it’s not worth it to me to go through the hassle of draining and disposing of the oil myself. I figured since they were closer and less busy than my usual mechanic, I’d give them a chance. Why not? A mechanic should be able to pull off a simple oil change with no problems.
My car now leaks oil from the drain plug. At first I assumed maybe they just spilled a little and that it was no big deal. That was until I looked underneath. I am worried that they cross-​threaded it and will be taking it to a mechanic I trust on Monday. After that, I will revise and add to this review accordingly.
