Specialties
Our lessons revolve around three things: safety, fun, and progress. We use a lot of natural horsemanship principles to help us interact with horses in ways that make sense to them. Hanging out around the barn with horses and friends is fun! We use a lot of games and activities in our lessons so you and the horse get to think and have fun while learning to ride. We have a clear, progressive curriculum to help you learn about horses. Our learning includes horse care and maintenance, using tack correctly, safety and horsemanship, balanced riding, and good communication with the horse on the ground and under saddle.
History
Established in 2011.
In 2011, the owner Rachelle decided to use her Masters in Teaching education to create a horse back riding academy setting to create a fun and relaxing environment for kids and adults to learn about riding and horsemanship. We have been learning together and growing since then!

Business Owner
Our main instructor, Rachelle has a Masters in Teaching from the University of Washington. She has been riding for over 15 years in various disciplines including western, english, dressage, and even driving horses with carts. She has 10 years of experience teaching in classrooms, cars, and with horses. One of her ongoing goals is to provide clear and developmentally appropriate instruction to students of all ages.
