Bird performances that fascinate and educate, each geared to the specific audience. Brenda Bean has more than 30 years’ worth of bird knowledge to share with you. Great birthday party entertainment — the birds will stand on hands and arms of children. Sometimes the birds will talk, everyone is thrilled by that, whether your guests are 2 or 92-years-old. In educational settings such as schools, libraries, or even retirement homes, Brenda discusses bird behavior, habitat, food, and health.
Brenda’s birds are like her family, and she has letters of good health from veterinarians to make sure all birds are safe. Even with that assurance, children will use wipes to clean hands before and after handling the birds under Brenda’s skilled guidance.
Are you considering the responsibility of a bird or already have a bird such as a macaw or cockatoo? Brenda can be hired for training sessions for both owner and bird! Brenda will clip wings, trim beaks and claws. You’ll learn valuable skills to manage the parrot, your bird out of the cage, hold him or her properly and securely in case emergency aid is needed, what discipline techniques are effective, and start teaching tricks through play!
History
Established in 1980.
Brenda Bean acquired her first bird, a green-cheeked Conure, 1980. She really liked that beautiful bird, even though he bit her pretty hard, she loved him and got another bird, a cherry-head Conure. then she found she needed some help and training! Along with a friend, Brenda founded T.A.M.E. [Training Active Management Eoavis (Latin meaning of, to or about psitacines, hook bill parrots)]
«We sold only tame parrots that sat out on perches in our store. No bird was in a cage if the store was open!» Brenda said. «We were the only pet store that specialized in birds that would step up and sit on your hand. We started a training course and taught our customers about parrots, symptoms of illness, diet, maintenance, bird psychology and some plain old common sense!»
You’ll be amazed by what Brenda Bean knows about birds.
