Orchid Nails & Spa

Love this place, but they are not «cheap». Don’t get me wrong, the ambiance is really nice but not relaxing nor spa-​like. Their massage chairs are above par, but some clients bring their young kids in and don’t supervise them. Not the proprietor’a fault, but there should be stricter guidelines.
All of the ladies are nice and I’ve never had a bad mani/​pedi/​gel there, but there are other places that are more affordable for the same treatment.

I’ve been coming to Orchid for almost a year and love everything about it. The nail technicians are knowledgable and the salon is extremely clean. They give you a personal kit so everything is sanitary. Another benefit is that everyone speaks English, engages in conversation and makes you feel at home. In addition to the typical nail services, the brow waxing is great. I can’t wait to try their facials. If it’s anything like their other services, it should be a good experience. I highly recommend trying Orchid Nails.

I came here with a Groupon for a mani/​pedi and really enjoyed my experience. They did not give me any hassle over the Groupon, which I appreciated, although I did have to wait a week from calling for an appointment. They are very booked up due to the demand! They started me right away with 2 people working on my fingers and toes at the same time. They did try to upsell me a few times, and I bit for the gel polish, because I know that in my profession, regular nail polish on my fingers doesn’t last 1 day! I appreciated the fact that they gave me a break on the price for the gel over and above what the Groupon covered. They were done pretty quickly, about ½ hour or so, and my nails look really great! I also liked that they all spoke enough English to chat with me a little bit, so I didn’t feel so awkward! The facility is really nice as well. Everything is shiny and clean. I would definitely come back!

I have been going to Orchid Nails since they opened and it is fabulous! I always feel welcomed when I enter and they always have a smile on their faces. They have an extensive nail polish selection as well as acrylic nails and the new, very chic Axxium nail care system. Their pedicure chairs are large and very comfortable, the pedicure itself is sanitary and relaxing with soft colors and delightful scents. I frequently get manicures and pedicures there and have also had the acrylic nails and the Axxium system done as well. I highly recommend any of these services. Additionally they do an excellent job with eyebrow waxing, shaving as well as dying of the eyelashes and the eyebrows. I cannot say how much I enjoy MyMy and her family pampering me and making me feel special whenever I go!

Good, but could be better. I made an appointment for my friend and I to go to both get spa mani/pedi’s. We came right on time and we still had to wait 20 minutes to be seen. Once they finally called us back they still didn’t have 2 tech’s to get us started. My friend had to wait while they started on my pedi. Second thing was once they started we felt rushed. I feel a few steps in the «spa pedicure» were skipped and the lotion massage wasn’t nearly as well as other salons. For our nails my friend had one that was cracked and was told the «gel polish» would help it. Hers chipped the next day. I too had the gel polish and it started lifting the second day.
The scenery is wonderful and they have nice relaxing music and light to help soothe the mood. I just think they should have people available to do both parties when you make an appointment. Isn’t that the whole idea of making it in the first place? You shouldn’t feel rushed if the environment is so relaxing.
Third thing which really made my decision to not go back was the cuticle cutting. Isn’t the cuticle part supposed to be in the barbaside? Not the handle? Well I had to tell him to use a different one since there were still cuticle remains from someone else’s nails!
Disappointed in the salon to say the least.

I don’t normally get any sort of manicure or pedicure, unless there is some sort of special occasion, but this time I decided to go with Hannah C to get a manicure and boy was I impressed.
This is a brand new location on Highlands Pkwy close extremely close to 285 and the East West Connector. Its in a fairly new strip mall where a Kayson’s is located as well as a gym and a salon.
Anyway, when you walk in you are not bombarded with that chemically smell that I tend to associate with nail places, this place smelled, well… good! It was tastefully decorated and various stations and brand new pedicure chairs which massage your back and even your butt! Can we say relaxing?!
On this occasion, I decided to go with a French manicure with the new gel polish that is out now days… that stuff stays forever because it’s baked in. After 2 weeks my nails were still holding strong without any chips.
Another thing that made this place awesome for me was the staff. They were super friendly and they even let me lounge in their chairs while I accompanied my friend while she got a pedi… can’t really beat that!
Their work is superb, I love my nails and I plan on getting pampered here pretty soon.
