Mona’s Threading and Salon

My Sister referred me … The first time Mona rendered my services and I was extremely pleased. So much I purchased the prepaid card. The next time the lady next to Mona waited on me and SHE FUVKED MY EYEBROWS UP. She tried fixing them some more by removing more hair while further messing up. I told her if I were to come back do not put your hands on me. I Didn’t show out on her. It truly posses me off that when people pretend not to understand nor speak English yet you’re in a field that exudes customer service. … Smh
Anywho I catch Mona again and she sorta brings them back to life — considering I’ve had to wait countless weeks for them to grow back with enough hair for repair (eyebrows) I come in again (I was on the phone) motioned to come sit in the first chair though being seated in the second chair and by the time I get off the phone its the same lady and she’s managed to fuvckup my brows again… I have fine curly hair. Why don’t you learn hair textures before stepping into businesses that require you to know … I shouldn’t have been on the phone, however in such a business you should be familiar with faces requests and all ethnicities of hair. Not at all happy with Mona not being available and her employer being a sorry estitican (I understand she has a new child also) i just want great brows.

Great spot for eyebrow threading! I saw Ash and I showed her pictures and expressed my concern of making sure my eyebrows don’t become very thin. She listens to what I asked for and delivered it was not painful her hands were fast and she was very respectful. I am happy to find a place I can go to frequently for my eyebrows for here on out definitely recommend! They currently have a deal $ 15 for three or $ 25 for six valid I would take advantage of that if I were you :)

I found my new brow place! I was a little nervous coming here for the first time. I’m very picky about my brows. Mona did an amazing job on my eyebrows. She was gentle and precise with her threading technique. No touch ups needed. My brows are on fleek, lol. They are offering a 3 for $ 15 discount card for threading that doesn’t expire. I’m not sure how long the deal is running though. Check out Mona’s. You won’t be disappointed.

Just called this place and the lady who answers the phone is RUDE!
She talked over me the entire time, and then she hung up on me before I was even done talking!
I called her back to ask how much their services were since I didn’t get to ask her that before she hung up on me and again she spoke over me. Then I proceeded to tell her that in the future she shouldn’t talk over people and that hanging up on someone in the middle of a conversation is very rude and she just laughed.
I wasn’t arguing with her, wasn’t being confrontational AT ALL, was merely trying to get information about when Mona works, explain what I was wanting and find out how much it would cost.
Whoever this lady is has ZERO customer service skills and should not be allowed to answer the phone.
Really really sucks because this place is close to me and I would have come here once a month to get services done, but thanks to your rude staff, you just lost yourself a monthly customer.

I’ve been here about 4 times now and I’ve always left with eyebrows I am proud of.
Unfortunately, I don’t have an in-​and-​out experience because I’ll ONLY let Mona thread my brows so I usually wait for a few minutes. I’ve decided that she’ll be the only person who touches my brows because I sent a friend here after my first visit and someone other than Mona did her brows. She was NOT pleased. Each brow had a different shape and one was higher than the other. There was absolutely no fixing it — she just had to wait for it to grow back in.
During my most recent visit, I also got my upper lip and chin threaded. My brows look AMAZING, as usual, and it didn’t hurt at all. Once finished with my brows, Mona let someone else do my upper lip and chin, which are more sensitive areas in general. This was one of the MOST painful experiences I’ve ever had and there was still hair when she was finished. I asked her to use tweezers to clean it up but she went over the area with the thread repeatedly instead (and I STILL had a stray hair that I plucked with tweezers when I got home). Additionally, I had a friction burn on my chin.
Moral? Stick with Mona. The other techs should really be better trained. But she does an AMAZING and painless job. She’s really pretty awesome. And their 3 for $ 15 deal is pretty epic.

OMG! Was at the mall and I didn’t want to pay the 12 $ I Unilocaled this place and I am sooooo glad I did! The best customer service ever and super fast and good service! Mona did my brows and she was a sweetheart! Most def will be back! I would give 10 stars if there was a button for that! :-))))

Got my eyebrows threaded here for the first time about two months ago. I heard about it through Unilocal.It’s a pretty simple place, and very affordable with great deals (3 threading appointments for $ 15!)
The staff is very nice and pleasant. The first time I went in Mona did my eyebrows and they looked amazing. The subsequent times I went in, the other girls who worked there did them and they looked just as good.
The only thing is that this place is so simple that they don’t have an efficient way to keep records of things. If you get the 3 for $ 15 eyebrow threading deal, you’re going to have to sort through about 200 paper slips of everyone whose first initial is the same as yours to check off that you used one of your appointments.
However it’s a pretty mild inconvenience for the price you’re paying for a quality job.

This was my first eyebrow threading experience and it was pleasant. I got talked into threading instead of waxing like I initially wanted. The customer service was great, it was a fast process and for a good price. I’m giving this place 4 stars because I don’t have any other threading experience to compare. Overall a very good experience.

I’ve had threading done in Turkey, Pakistan and the U.S.
I came in on Monday at 620pm. They literally keep the business open until 7pm. It would normally be slow but maybe I brought the crowd. Mona wasn’t there, only one woman named Kim. There were two women in front of me and I let one go ahead. That made 3 women. All done in 20 mins or less, TOTAL. I was like uhhh wow she’s fast.
I got my entire face done and henna on my left hand. I try that every 6 months or so. It’s extremely painful but I love the smoothness of my makeup application and no fine hairs in natural sunlight. You know it’s good when a native Indian and Americans support the business. Lol
Cheap. Clean. Fast.
–1 Star because I wish my henna was a bit more detailed and neater.

Changing my rating to two stars based on my second visit. A different woman did my brows, and i specifically stated i wanted to keep them thick and to just clean them up. She didn’t listen. She gave me an arch that i didn’t ask for (i’ve posted a photo), and they came out MUCH thinner than my previous session. I didn’t notice it until i had left the building and happened to glance in my rearview mirror… If every employee can’t consistently give good results based on what the customer is asking, i do not think this establishment deserves a high rating. I’ve already purchased a series of 3, so i will make sure to only let the same person handle my brows next time… After they’ve had time to grow back in properly.

Ladies, you know that feeling when you can’t stop checking your brows out in the mirror because they look SO good? That’s the experience you’ll have after a trip to Mona’s. I’ve been growing my eyebrows out for a couple months, and i finally caved and decided to have them groomed somewhere. They were a mess, but i was convinced they were still to sparse to be cleaned up properly. I was wrong. I just mentioned that i’m trying to keep them as thick as possible and she just worked her magic while threading my brows into submission. They now look better than they have in years! I’ll definitely be going back, as it’s difficult to find someone who actually listens to and DOES what you want. There is a special where you can purchase a set of 3 brow threadings for $ 15 (versus $ 6/​individually). Also, they do very nice henna for those who are interested.

This is the absolute best place to get your eyebrows done. The ladies here provide great customer service and consistently do an amazing job on my brows (even when I go longer than I should between getting them done.) They shape me up perfectly every time! The prices are unbeatable… $ 6 for threading is a miracle. They also have even better deals if you buy a series of services. For brows its 3 for $ 15 or 6 for $ 25. They also provide waxing services. I think a Brazilian is $ 20.

I love this place! I live in Lawrenceville, which is 45 mins away on a good traffic day and every time I’m in Smyrna I have to stop by. Their service is awesome and their price point is great! The only negative I have is the bathroom and wax room could use a little sprucing up, not the cleanest or best looking.

I was a faithful customer when I lived in Marietta. But since I’ve move to Atlanta, I haven’t been able to find anyone that does a half way decent eyebrow. So I do not mind driving out here to get my brows done. Plus they are now open on Sundays from 11 to 6!!!

This experience definitely contradicts the saying that «you get what you paid for». The service was very fast and very cheap! However, Mona did an excellent job on my brows and mines are kinda thin and far from twins! There wasn’t a long wait when I went on Friday around 5pm, although they get a good amount of customers in there.
This was my first time and I will most definitely be back!!!

The service was good. Mona is very nice. However, I explained that I did NOT want thin eyebrows and had taken the LONG time to try and grow my eyebrow hair in before I scheduled an appointment with her (I mentioned not wanting thin eyebrows on the phone too. She said she understood… some how I still ended up with thin eyebrows. The search for an eyebrow artist continues for me…

I have been coming to Monas for 3 years now and I love it!.. highly recommended. They are very good at what they do and the price is just an added plus!..

I agree with Karenita B. — getting your eyebrows threaded should not hurt! It usually doesn’t hurt at Mona’s, but it can be hit or miss. The price makes up for any discomfort I’ve experienced, however, with a package of three lip/​brow combos costing only $ 24.

Stopped in this past weekend for the first time (thanks to Unilocal) to get my eyebrows threaded and was really impressed! This place isn’t fancy, but I was able to walk in on Saturday morning and get everything done to my liking in less than 20 minutes. The prices are great ($ 6 for eyebrow threading), especially when compared to other eyebrow threading places, and the girl who did my brows did an excellent job!
PS: This place is kinda hard to find because you can’t see it from the street, but it’s right next to the Red Lobster off of Cobb Pkwy.

I have been going to Mona’s for about a year and I love her. I had only allowed Mona to thread my brows until the last time. I’m not sure of her name but she was very tough and it was the worse pain I have ever felt since I started to get my brows threaded. I hated it since it was probably my last time going here since I don’t work in the area anymore.
Besides the last trip, I really like the shop. Mona is very personable and understands good customer service. The price is the best one I have seen in the Atlanta area ($ 6) and they have a good bundle. I never waited more than 10 minutes, on most trips I didn’t have to wait.

When it comes to my personal grooming needs I like to find the right person and stick with them. My lady at natural identity left and I went back 2 more times and both times the girls were too rough!
Well thank goodness for Suraiyes, she has the soft angelic touch I was looking for. Getting your eyebrows threaded SHOULD NOT HURT! If it does you are seeing the wrong person! Suraiys only works Mondays, but she is friendly and does an amazing pain free job!
