Kroger

One of my favorite grocery stores. There are others closer to my home by a few minutes, but I gladly drive a little further to shop at this location. The associates are there to help and point you to any item you may need and the sushi chef is glad to prepare a personal order while you shop. The occasional food sample or product demo is also nice. Other than that, it’s a clean grocery store with just about everything you may need.

Love this place. It really is a huge Kroger but you never feel overwhelmed inside. Somehow they’re usually not out of many items either. I mean, the vegetables can be scarce but that’s no different than any other store. Every worker seems to be pretty awesome. I especially like Megen. She really goes out of her way if someone needs something and is very cheerful with a contagious laugh. This is definitely the best Kroger store I have been to.

This Kroger is always clean, and the staff are always helpful. The meat department is my favorite. Hours are very kind (24 hours a day).

This is my favorite grocery store, and I drive past a Publix and Sprouts to come here every time I shop. I think I am in the top 3 for check-​ins. I believe it is the biggest Kroger in the Southeast, with a wide selection. It is always clean. It’s also so large, it’s not as bad during typical rush times.
Example experience was this past Wednesday. I went with my three year old daughter. Everyone was incredibly friendly, making jokes, and being friendly with my daughter.
1. I couldn’t find the salad mix my wife wanted and someone in produce proactively came over and asked what I was looking for, and then went to the back to find it. They tracked me down and gave it to me.
2. The deli person offered me a sample while slicing my turkey
3. The bakery person saw us walk by and gave my daughter a free cookie
4. Checkout was easy, and parking was close
5. You get fuel points for shopping you can use at the gas station outside for cheap gas, particularly if you get a Kroger credit card.
Cons
1. Sometimes if you go on the wrong day the produce can be picked over

I was a Publix girl before moving to Atlanta, and now I have to say that I am proud to be a Kroger girl.
This Kroger is newer, and I’m impressed by the sprawling options throughout the store; including the extensive organic and local section. You can come around lunchtime and make yourself a huge salad from the salad bar, or you can stop by the Starbucks and grab a coffee before starting your shopping.
I’m also tickled by the customer perks offered through the Kroger rewards card! Often we receive coupons for products that we actually use in the mail! Things like fresh produce and organic freezer foods that we love but never have coupons for! We also save a lot on gas with the fuel points that we get for shopping, and to top it off, a small percentage of each purchase can go toward a local charity (I send ours to Georgia Homeless Pets, of course).
The cherry on top is that its open 24 hours, which accommodates my ridiculous work schedule.
My one and only gripe is that I recently visited a Kroger in Buckhead that had whole Simple Truth Organic roasted chickens available for purchase in their warmer/​roaster. Maybe I’m too slow to the game, but I’m jealous of those roasted chickens. Hopefully my Kroger offers them soon!

I love this Kroger. It’s one of the nicest I’ve ever used and that was a pleasant surprise! I love the 24-​hourness even though I’ve never been there during odd hours, but if I NEEDED to go there at 1:00 AM because I really NEEDED something that would almost certainly be nachos or donuts, I would feel pretty good about my safety and my ability to retrieve those nachos or donuts. Plus, obviously, we are devout Kroger card users and now that I drive a car that demands fancy premium gas, it eases my frugal soul to fill up for cheaper than I would pay for plain unleaded at the QT.
It’s clean, it has a weirdly large organic/​specialty food area (get your non-​glutinous goods and all the veggie chips your body can handle), and even though it is usually busy I’ve always gotten through the lines quickly. If they sold shoes and whiskey, I would move in.

This use to be our favorite Kroger until one day we visited this location seafood counter and ask for two Salmon Pinwheels. As we were unpacking our bags at home we notice it was a live fly inside the saran wrap where the salmon pinwheels were. We immediately took it back to Kroger for our money back. At the customer service counter one of the employees showed the manager. He looked at the fly inside then he looked at me. He never came over and apologized on the behalf of the store. A live fly was wrapped inside our food that speaks in volumes about how sanitary this location is.

I brave traffic and drive 20mins away from my house to buy groceries here every week even though there’s a Kroger literally five mins from my house, that says a lot. I like this Kroger because it’s clean, the employees are friendly for the most part and the prices are reasonable in comparison to Publix. Having a gas station, wells fargo and McDonald’s right out front make this location super convenient as well.
Like I said, I shop here weekly and it’s always crowded. Always. I guess everyone likes it just as much as I do. I really enjoy their weekly specials and 10 for 10 deals. They also have a great organic section, salad bar, artisan cheese bar and a really good deli and hot foods section. The thing my wife most likes is the fresh sushi bar. (see photos). I usually do our shopping but whenever she’s with me she HAS to stop by and grab a tray of sushi, it’s really well made and delicious. I also love their deals on fuel – with every purchase you are eligible to complete a survey that will give you extra fuel points, saving you sometimes up to 40points on gas per gallon! That makes a HUGE difference since Kroger gas is pretty cheap anyway. This is probably the number one reason we shop here, the cheap fuel, the fresh sushi, great selection of produce and the organic food. Our Kroger has NONE of the above.
Another thing I like is that they really try to get you out the door and on with your day ASAP. If there are more than two people in line, sometimes more than one, someone will direct you to another cashier even if the manager herself has to come out and check you out. One time the manager saw that there were two people ahead of me and she directed me over to the self-​checkout girl so she could personally ring up my items one by one (I had a cart full) right there at self-​check out. Was it a little awkward? Yes! Did I appreciate her trying to get me out in a timely fashion? You betcha! LOL
The one thing I will say though, sometimes they are out of stock on a few of my favorites which can be a bummer but I understand that the sheer number of customers they see per day contributes to that. Usually, the next time I go back my item is there. Love how many new items they get weekly as well. Thanks Kroger!

This is a newer remodeled Kroger! It has a gas station out front that always has cheap gas and a McDonald’s and wells Fargo ATL right out front.

This is a fairly new Kroger that has a fancy make your own peanut butter and
«healthy food» section that reminds me of whole foods.

I come to this Kroger a few times out the week. Can’t beat the deals. The staff is always helpful. Most importantly every item is in it’s proper place, and not moved.

Not bad – for a Kroger. We stopped by here after performing some volunteer work last weekend.
We picked up some fuel and the fried chicken smelled great!
Good selection and the store appeared in very good order.

Great new upscale store. Was impressed with the cheese selection. …the organics.
Not quite the prices or variety of the Super Walmart. .but finding that cheese round was priceless.
One of my basic decisions is based on whether they have California Olive Ranch olive oil. In my opinion all others are not worth any more than store brand. .but I am an olive oil freak.
One main ingress. Big store. Tons of self check outs. And a fuel station. (Shop Friday thru Sunday & get 2x fuel points.)

This is actually the largest Kroger on this side of town, but they are ALWAYS out of everything. They need to do a much better job at keeping commonly used items in stock. The last few times I’ve gone, it’s been a wasted trip and I’ve had to visit another store just to make our dinner. I highly encourage you not to shop there after 6pm on any day because the cupboards will be bare. Very frustrating for me as you can see!

Dear Kroger,
Currently I get very few hours at home, so I pay double or triple amount of money to access healthy food on the go. But this morning, I was so disappointed with the quality of your prepared fruits. This $ 4 pre washed container of grapes not only contain so many inedible pieces, it had all sorts of stems and nasty remains from the bottom of a wash bucket. Although I’d like to march back to your store and request a refund, I’m using my lunch hour to simply express my frustration here, in hopes that you care about your customers to even read this. And if you’d like to continually maintain customers like me, please put in more care to the quality of products you offer, esp with your prepackaged foods. Thanks.

Official, it is one of the cleaner Krogers in all of Atlanta. It replace that old filth and brought in a spanking new one. I am glad they have a Starbucks inside too. It is definitely the location you want to get done within a 2 – 2.5 mile radius.

What a great new Kroger! I’ve been Kroger-​ing a lot lately and this is by far one of the nicest ones I’ve patronized.
Super clean and pretty fancy — they’ve got all kinds of upscale food and goodies, from specialty foods (a great cheese selection, nice prepared foods aisle, interesting health food choices, etc) to an awesome floral department.
Nice staff, especially given how bustling this store is.
When I’m up in this part of Cobb County, this is definitely my grocery store pick!

They got rid of the nasty Kroger down the street and opened this Kroger. So, this is still very new.
It’s also one of the biggest Kroger stores I’ve ever been to.
There’s a Starbucks inside, they have a whole housewares section and a full baby section as well.
Ever since this Kroger opened, this place has been the happening place in Smyrna. Forget your local bars, Kroger is the place to be and to be seen! Ha!
Shopping experience here is great. They have everything you could ever want and then some. The only problem I ever have, is finding stuff! And I usually lose my husband in the meats section…

Yay for the new South Cobb Kroger.
This Kroger is brand new and you can tell. Everything still seems fresh and I went in a few nights ago and bought and entire dinner for about $ 6.
I’m talking chicken legs, yellow rice and broccoli.
You aren’t going to believe this Kroger. Its more like a Super Walmart. Need a hand mixer. Check they have it. Need a hot cup of coffee. There is a Starbucks inside.
This is one large Kroger.
They also have the Kroger gas station at this location. I recently paid $ 2.87 per gallon after entering in my Kroger card number. A good deal when every where else its going for about $ 3.31 per gallon.
Too bad this location is not near my home. I’d love to go Krogering here more often.

This is one of my favorite Krogers. I’m a Publix guy, but this Kroger impressed me.
Most of the Krogers I’ve been to seemed ghetto. They didn’t look clean and just looked grungy. This Kroger looks like a Publix inside.
They have a ton of selections and have a great organic section. You can find a good deal of gluten free and organic products here.
Also, they have a gas station here. Overall, it’s a nice, big grocery store that gives some nice competition to Publix.
