We tried for more than 2 years with Kevin and his staff. For some time this was the only pharmacy that we could get Metadate Cd for our son, so we were stuck. Today was the last day!
Some of the many issues, explained briefly. We have had this medication partially filled and never notified on the bottle or at time of pick up. They only kept a small quantity in stock so I often had to return to get the remainder of the 30 day supply. The prescription was dropped off and I was told it was ordered. I went in to pick it up the day I was told it would be ready, but was told that only Kevin, the owner, ordered it and he was out of town. A bag with my son’s medication was tossed across the pharmacists counter at me waiting at the check out counter.
Today was the last time I will walk into this pharmacy (I had to go back three times because I was given incorrect information and told that my entire families insurance was terminated). Over and over Kevin repeated himself explaining that I did not understand insurance. He spoke in circles and interrupted repeatedly. I wasted 3 hrs dealing with an issue that if the pharmacy took a moment, would have realized that they were at fault, putting the incorrect numbers in to be authorized. My insurance was current and they did not know how to enter the new numbers from the card.
I urge you to never let Kevin and his staff treat you poorly. Metadate Cd can now easily be ordered and kept for you at all the surrounding pharmacies, including Walgreens in Townsend, and if you are looking for a smaller private pharmacy, Bayard Pharmacy in Dover can help… with a smile!

Brought in my daughter’s ADHD medications. First one my insurance would fill brand only and this pharmacy will not provide the brand Concerta. They only have the generic. My insurance will not pay for generic. They then filled the generic prescription and tried to charge me $ 245. I went back to doctor to get a replacement med, brought it to the pharmacy. They told me «This medication will be $ 95 because it requires preauthorization.» Trying to get me to pay full price for the medication so they wouldn’t have to wait and could get full price instead of the contracted rate my insurance gives. I asked them to start authorization process so I only had to pay my $ 10 copay instead of $ 95 full price. After hearing similar stories from 2 friends about how this pharmacy has done the same thing to them, I went back the next morning to pick my script up. When I tried to talk to them about it, the owner said the problem was I didn’t understand how my insurance worked. He them refused to explain anything to me so I could understand why I had to pay $ 95 when they could fax my doctors office to get authorization so I’d only have to pay $ 10. He then told me to leave and go to another pharmacy.

You can talk to your pharmacist anytime, they’re great at communicating with doctors and knowledgable about insurance issues. The staff learns your name and knows you, and you can tell they actually CARE. I will never go anywhere else!
