Also known as Gil’s Ace Hardware, this place is pretty darn excellent in my book! They have a great selection of keys for cutting, Automotive (including transponder) keys, house keys, I even got my motorcycle keys dubbed. (OEM Honda key was $ 24 UNCUT from Sloan’s; Gil’s had the generic key and charged me about $ 2.00 total CUT– works perfectly.) Prices are fair, workers are friendly, selection is good.
I am docking 1 star due to hours: 8 – 5 M-​Sat. What about homeowners who work office hours? It’s darn difficult to sacrifice food to hit the hardware store on your lunch break. There is Saturday I suppose, if you don’t have a million other more pressing things to do.
I’ll make it 5-​stars if hours are extended till at least 6pm.

Located at the intersection of Nissan Drive, Sam Ridley Parkway and Jefferson Drive, this unassuming hardware store has workers who are knowledgeable, polite, and very helpful. Most of them were old-​timers that come across as very experienced in their field.
I needed an item and stopped by because I heard about the customer service and was frankly tired of the big-​box hardware stores. I was greeted as soon as I came in the door and was shown options for what I needed. The cashier was nice and friendly and I was on my way in a jiff. The building is in a run-​down strip mall but it is convenient to where I live and seems to be pretty safe.
