History

Established in 1983.

We started serving the greater Atlanta area since 1983. First, the name of the business was My Favorite Shop. We used to sell a little bit of everything. As we began to focus more and more on top quality used furniture, we changed the name to A1 Furniture Depot, Inc. The name says it all.

Meet the Business Owner

Twenty years ago, Wes arrived in Atlanta from a little village in Haiti. He was really broke. Five years later he got married and had two kids. Life was really tough. Because daycare centers were so expensive, his wife had to stay home to take care of the kids. With his $ 145 a week salary, there was never enough money to take care of the family.

To say the least, he simply could not afford to have his apartment look as good as the neighbors. One day he drove all over Atlanta looking for some furniture. Most of the stores he found had nothing but beat up and overly priced used furnitures. Wes felt like there was a real need for top quality used furniture store with superior customer service.

Out of frustration, he opened A1 Furniture Depot. He believes people with excellent taste should be able to afford top quality used furniture. Simply put, you can live like the rich on a dime.
