Some things good, some bad. The carrot/​ginger soup really good. The eggplant rollantini (by the deli) is sometimes sour.
They got rid of the pizza station.
They sell great Italian beer.
They are getting rid of most of the italian soda.
It seems like a new manager every few months.
Maybe 3 workers speak English there.
The catering woman had such a low cut blouse!
The dairy guy is always cranky.
The signs say, «If you don’t see it, we can order it for you». Not! You tell them, and it never happens.
The free sample girls seem to be comatose — no «hello», zombies.

Nice marketplace which has almost everything you need. Recall coming here last July because needed a last minute number candle for a birthday cake and they had it unlike the CVS next door. They also make and sell deeeeeeelicious and moist Strawberry short cakes which my friend got me for my birthday and refreshing assorted fruit bowls. Love this place!

A lot of great items here but some of the stuff is extremely pricey. You can shop some really good sales here and get yourself a treat or two without breaking the bank.

This is the tale of 2 stores. One good. One bad. On the good side they have the best mozzarella anywhere and their cheese dept is really good. The deli is decent with a large variety of prepared foods and speciality items. Prices are commensurate with other Italian speciality markets with some being expensive and others reasonable. Their store brand artichokes are $ 10.99 per pound. That’s crazy expensive. Better off getting cento at 4 jars for $ 5. They have a decent meat/​poultry selection with prices on the high side.$ 14.99 per pound for sterling skirt steak. No thank you. Fish selection is good with many prepared dishes and plenty of lobsters, shellfish etc. Again prices on high side. On the bad side there’s the produce area. In a word it’s horrible. Rock hard tomatoes with bruises, wilted herbs and vegetables. I’ve seen white fuzz on strawberries on at least 5 different occasions. I now never purchase any produce there which is annoying. The new interior design is definitely a major improvement from what it was. Flow is better with good visibility. The store is much better than Fresh Market across the street and better than most big box markets ie stop and shop but inferior to plainview fairway (lake grove stinks). Would have given it 4 stars if it were not for the produce area. Hopefully they are working on improvements.

Great deli selection and friendly staff. The markets prices are reasonable with a wide selection of goods.

Classic Italian American market. Great prices on Italian cheeses and fresh pastas. Come for the Italian grocery, the rest of the store is just average.

The reason this market is above the rest is because their personnel is very good. Ms christa speranza in customer relations is Excellent in handling customers request and in these days that makes one exceptional!!!

I’ve been away from New York for 34 years. My sister took me here when I visited and my heart about jumped outta my chest! I mean the amount and variety of delicious prepared foods, along with the boars head cold cuts (we don’t get boars head in Cali), the memories of all this delicious food was overwhelming. My sister spoiled the hell out of me and got everything I asked for.
I think I gained 5 pounds just walking through the store. I can’t wait to go back!

This place is a hit or miss some things good some really bad. I was very unhappy to see some of the premade dinner pastas jumped a couple of bucks to 19.99 when in reality it’s mostly pasta so I think overpriced. So because I didn’t think it justified the price I decided to go with one of the premade Sicilian pizzas with meatballs on top for 15 bucks. I got it home and cooked it up and I was not impressed at all. Crust was flavorless and a cheese tasted fake. I just got the feeling I was eating very low quality food and all I could think of was what I was putting into my body. Will never buy that again that’s for sure. I’m really getting tired of low quality food with subpar ingredients with GMO’s, chemicals, and artificial flavors it’s really getting out of hand … I want food that is nutritious not poisonous. Everybody make sure you scrutinize labels and the ingredients very carefully it is your own life you should take more interest so these places can’t get away with using cheap ingredients anymore. And I can only imagine what the meatballs were made of because I didn’t particularly care for those either.
And given the prices that they charge which are ridiculously high I expect top-​notch ingredients and I clearly didn’t get it today. Also you have to look at the expiration dates on the pre-​made food they can be all over the place and had to return things in the past that went bad or were stale the day I bought it.

Had a very negative experience — just left the store after being checked out on the express line — young lady didn’t even speak — took my card and gave me my receipt. People like to be respected when they spend their money and I never got this here before BUT THIS CHICK WAS NASTY — blond hair — she wore a cap. They need to take her and put her somewhere else if she’s gonna pick and choose who she’s nice to.

Can be pricey but offer exceptional food. Best canoli’s on Long Island. Love going here. Great shopping atmosphere.

Another old time favorite that makes me homesick to my stomach!!! Ughhh! This is a foodie/​gourmet cook’s heaven. I’m not Italian but they make me feel Italian by greeting me with bonjouro and all the seasonings and pastas and produce I’m about to buy. I miss the Italian pastas, pastries, and people! Makes me want to move back to Long Island from SC because you cannot get food like this in the south. The produce here is also very expansive, I feel like you can get anything and half of the items I have not even tried or seen before.

The pre-​made entrees can be hit or miss – but the pastas and the sauces are delicious. I just wish they were closer to me – the sauces and can be a real lifesaver on the hurried week nights.

I’ve been a customer here for years and me and my family love it! The food is always fresh and delicious. To be completely honest and objective, some of the prepared foods are kind of pricey but definitely worth it. Would definitely recommend!

On the outside-​seems like a grocery store with a fancy name. Walk inside and you’re whisked away to Tuscany. There is opera music playing over the loudspeakers. The décor is so intricate with stonework, grapevine, and Italian phrasing engraved. But you don’t care about the décor.
The deli counter is the piece de resistance of this place. Holy wow. I can make mean salads and meatballs, but if I ever wanted to grab something and pass it off as «yeah, I cooked this», this would be the place to get it. There was a 40 – 50 foot deli counter with so many gourmet salads (spinach, waldorf, pasta, macaroni, tuna, etc) all with combos that were making me hungry. They had some of the best pre-​made cold cut sandwiches I’ve ever had. OMFG. We were in a bit of a rush, so I didn’t get to check out the bakery and candy counter as much as I wanted to-​but it looked like something straight out of Willy Wonka. Wow-​the fudge.
This is somewhere that your wallet and your waistline both need to be ginger with the first time you come in. Bring a spotter with you. It may have been a good thing that we were just grabbing sandwiches and bread otherwise I could have walked out with enough to feed the homeless of New York for a month. And my wallet wouldn’t have liked that-​the quality here is spectacular but the prices are obviously a smidge higher because of it compared to your Stop and Shop.
If this place isn’t Italian enough by the name, let me throw you this-​the last time we went in, the music wasn’t the typical opera aria from a CD. It was a guy with a microphone SINGING LIVE in the meat department. That’s not something you see in a typical market. Can this place please come down to Fort Lauderdale?

This was my first Uncle G store experience, when they opened I knew it was gonna be a hit. Picture a guy singing Sinatra while your shopping for cheese?!
They have a my favorite thing at the fish section, Coconut crusted Shrimp. OMG, I can eat 2 dozen. Speaking of fish, when they have Monkfish on sale you need to get a big ol piece. Its so good.
Somehow whenever I buy cheese here, it always goes bad. Be on alert of an big block of cheese, I learned my lesson and always buy a small block.
Uncle G also has the best fresh pastas for sale! Wanna get funky? Buy some pumpkin ravioli, they taste great as well as an appetizer.
People rip on the prices but I get an email every week, they have $ 2 per pound chicken cutlets, great Italian breads and fresh cheeses.
I used to shop at this location but Port Jeff opened and I left my Dukeship in good hands. Regardless, I can’t picture shopping anywhere else!
Uncle G’s, if we’re family then lend me some money! :D

If you’ve been to Italy before and just can’t find a way to make a trip back on short notice, just head to this store. It has a very Euro atmosphere and sensibility — I don’t know what it is specifically, but this place transports me there. Is it the products, the way they lay out the stuff, the music the play? Can’t say really.
My favorite thing to buy here is freshly made fresh mozzarella cheese. Yum!
And for crying out loud, why was sushi chosen as the main profile picture of this establishment? So wrong…

Amazing prepared foods and awesome selection of imported items. The prices are a little high, but not outrageous. The store is clean and the employees were helpful. I wish I had an Uncle Giuseppe’s closer to home!

Uncle Giuseppe I give you a 4 out of 5. Why? Well because sometimes you’re a little too overpriced and sometimes you’re just way too crowded to the point where I can’t even get my little self down the aisle with cart or basket in tow.
Though I have to say… you are the place where my household typically gets all of our fresh meat except for sausage and a bulk of our produce. The sausage will always come from the Ronkonkoma Pork Store and I will never cheat on them. I’m sorry but it’s the God’s honest truth.
Also… most of your «prepared» food that I’ve tried isn’t worth all the hype. But your chopped salad station and your pizza area with the Grandma pizza with the pesto drizzle and the Alps pizza with the zucchini and onion are rocking. Oh and Olive Bar… HelloOo Olives! I am the Olive Queen. Muahahah.
Every time I walk in I always get a nice whiff of goodness. So come. scope out the store. Get something good to prepare and you’ll thank me and your insides later after dinner.

Italian Market.
I am generally not a fan of Uncle Giuseppe’s mostly due to the exorbitant prices here.
This is tempered by the pretty amazing selection of items that they have for sale as well as the different departments such as the ready to eat foods, the cheeses and the sweet meat and seafood areas.
The downside is the cost on many of these items is ridiculous… you have to stick to the sale items, which is very hard with all the appealing goods, but if you start impulse buying, you are gonna get walloped at the register.
Plenty of selection and there is something for everyone — it is even a fun place to just browse…
