History

Established in 1967.

Servpro Industries was launched in 1967 by a married couple, Ted and Doris Isaacson, as a painting business in Sacramento, CA. They both had a background in cleaning and restoration, however, so they quickly decided to specialize in that. They sold their first franchise in 1969, continued to grow, and within a decade they acquired the Bristol-​Myers Domesticare Division and its 179 franchises!

In 1988 they relocated their headquarters from Sacramento to Gallatin, TN because of its strategic location; the strategy being that they would be within 600 miles of 50% of the entire US population. At that time, the company consisted of 647 franchises. They sold their 100^th franchise in 2000.

The company continues to grow, and it doesn’t like we have any intentions on stopping!

Upon opening this franchise 9 years ago, Frank was determined to run the best Servpro on Long Island. Since its inception, he’s earned many certification and licenses to further the success of his business. His Institute of Inspection, Cleaning, and Restoration Certifications (IICRC) include Water Damage Restoration Technician, Fire & Smoke Damage Restoration Technician, Applied Microbial Remediation Technician, among many others. He is currently a licensed General Contractor in Suffolk County and a New York State Mold Remediation Contractor. Aside from his many certifications and licenses, his franchise has earned the Millionaire’s Award for Outstanding Sales Performance 6 years running!
