I HAVE THE PICTURES OF HIS WORK.
I hired this contractor to re-​grout and re-​sand the pavers and they were supposed to use a gray color/​fine sand to lock in the pavers. I had 3 bags left over bag from the previous project. I told Phillip to use the same. But instead he used cheap, black, non-​fine sand and I have pictures of his sloppy job.
They power washed everything and didn’t do a thorough job.
He moved the shed to do a power wash and then he broke it. He didn’t tell us.
And his biggest sales pitch with his Irish accent is: «I swear on my Mom». He told me that at least a dozen times.
And then he told me he would re-​do the power wash, re-​grou the pavers and buy the correct color.
And then he brought his father, an older fellow, who said that the foundation around the bottom of the base of our house needed a weather-​proof support… They basically put the cement over it. He said it was a support from mold. We came to find out it was not power washed before they put the cement over and now we have cement blotches all over our 2 year old pavers around the house that they didn’t clean.
All our furniture was put on the grass and around the pool and they never moved it once finished.
Phillip came on a Sunday asking for cash and I refused and I gave him a check. He wanted the check on his personal name because he didn’t want Workers Comp and the Insurance company to know how much he makes a year as he would have to pay more taxes and higher workers comp.
Then he said he would come back on Monday to pick up his power washer and move all the furniture to the patios and he never did it. They just came and took their equipment.
He left piles of black sand in the driveway, we have the pictures as well. They didn’t sweep the sand out from underneath a Home Depot Storage House that they had broken.
He said he was going to fix the electric on the outside garden electric boxes and they never did. He said he was going to throw that extra into our deal.
He has an 80-​year old man that he pays $ 200 a day cash. When I asked him why he let this old man Gary work harder than you and your brother with the red hair as he can be your grandfather, his laughed and said: «I need to get my $ 200 cash a day back. It is a lot of money. If the man wants to work why not let him work?»
This is for you, Phillip. «I swear on my mom» you will get visitors from Nassau and Suffolk Department of Labor and Workers Comp Board and anybody else in these 2 counties.
I am going after your license. Nobody else is going to be robbed by you… You will see my lawyer in court…
