The chocolate chunk cookie is PHENOMENAL!!! I could eat that shit for breakfast lunch and dinner and all the snack in between. All of the desserts are great and I could eat an entire load of bread in under 25 seconds! I haven’t seen my
favorite worker lately:(I believe her name was Amanda? I haven’t seen her in about a year… don’t know if she still works there or not. I HOPE SHE DOES. when she serves the cookies they taste even better:)

Unfortunately this bakery has been inconsistent. When they first opened was my go to spot to bring home Sunday dinner dessert and special occasions but have been burned too many times. I got tired of bringing home expensive stale cakes and pastries. I’ve have some hits but much more misses. I’ve learned if I go here (mainly for the proximity to my home), I’ll go with the more popular items that tend to move more often like cannoli and cronuts which are pretty decent.
Avoid the overpriced cakes as its too much of a gamble that they are just not fresh. If you must, specifically ask when it was made and ask for a guarantee.

I don’t Unilocal often anymore but I had to review this place. My in-​laws just brought a horror show of a pie thing from this place today.
It was something like $ 40 and was nothing more than Jello chocolate pudding with an entire container of Cool Whip on top. I’m pretty sure the crust was a sheet of Pillsbury Cresent Roll dough left out for 48 hours until it got nice and stale.
Place gets a star for selling $ 3.25 worth of ingredients for $ 40. But these owners should start a diner selling exclusively American crock pot classics. Salisbury steak with ketchup can be sold as prime beef croquettes with a fruit reduction.
Seriously, you will do better at the local food bank.

Smithtown is finally becoming a place to go to for great breakfast, lunch, dinner, and now dessert.
This place is located on the West Side of Smithtown closer to Commack near Smithtown High School West and Accompsett Elementary, right across CVS on Morewood drive. From the looks of it, they still have their new store look both on the outside and inside. The second you step inside it smells like heaven.
They have all types of pastries, donuts, cronuts, cookies, cakes, chocolate pieces in small, large, and catering sizes. I came here two days in a row when i discovered it for the Napolean which is a small sized pastry, with a 3 layer flake crust with custard inside of it (mmmm). I mooched off my friends the chocolate cupcake, carrot cake, and small crème puff which were all great but the Napoleon is the best!

About once every 365 days, I wake up at a reasonable hour on a Saturday morning and crave a pastry or two. Buon Amici is only a few short minutes from my house, and it’s not a Dunkin’ Donuts, so it’s where I go. The ladies behind the counter are super friendly, and they usually have a small sampler tray when you walk in.
I don’t think the regular donuts are all that awesome, but I do love the cheese, blueberry, strawberry and just about any other flavor danishes. Their black and whites are good, as is just about everything else I’ve tried.

A normal bakery is what Buon Amici isnt. Want bursts of flavor? This is where it’s at. The wide variety of pastries, bread, cookie… etc. The list is endless. Very clean and Very friendly. Deff 5 star quality.

Finally tried this bakery and I’m so glad I did! The donuts were delicious and REALLY filled with cream and jelly. I bought the kids some cupcakes and they were moist and so yummy. The place was very clean and I can’t say enough about how nice the staff was. Great selection too. They have a new customer!

I had the cannoli and regular cronut. Both were very good! The cannoli filling tasted fresh and had a light lemon flavor it to. The cronuts were cooked perfectly and not rubbery, burnt or dry. Would definitely go back for more! Also had a linzer tart, tons of jelly filling (my favorite!) it was a pretty big sized cookie. Delicious!

I had a special dessert ordered for a family celebration and it was VERY DISAPPOINTING. $ 43 for an 8″ round mousse creation that had a weird taste and wouldn’t hold its shape. Needless to say, I tossed the leftovers.
Don’t order the mousse, stick with the cakes and cookies.

Very clean and bright with a nice selection, but 1st strike for me was when I went to hand them THEIR OWN coupon on Easter Sunday and was told «We’re not accepting the coupon on the holiday.» Really? If I wasn’t in a rush I would have passed on their $ 26 cheesecake and headed to Alpine Bakery who accepts their own coupons on holidays. 2nd strike was paying $ 4.50 a piece for 2 Cronuts. As delicious as they were, $ 9 for 2 cronuts is an outrage. $ 9? Seriously? Alpine charges $ 1.95 for their Cronuts. This bakery is conveniently located close to my house but their prices and «policies» turned me off. Haven’t been back since.

I drool thinking about this place. I kept finding bakeries that were trying to sell off week old pastries and cookies. This place makes everything fresh! Nothing is stale. They even made something’s for us that we didn’t see in the case. Everyone was friendly and the place is super clean.

This cronut craze has definitely hit Long Island bakeries although there was no line at Buon Amici in Smithtown when I walked in at 10:30am. I love a good chocolate croissant but never cared much for donuts, and am curious as to what a cronut would be like. I’ve yet to try the Ansel cronut in NYC, so for now one from Buon Amici will have to do. The bakery is spacious and clean with plenty of beautiful pastries, cakes, chocolates on display. They have several flavors of cronuts-​jelly, hazelnut, chocolate, cannoli, etc. I picked a hazelnut one. It was definitely bigger than the regular donut from dunkin donuts but the price was quite steep at $ 4.5. The dough was definitely less dense than a donut but wasn’t as flakey and airy as a croissant. This particular cronut was stuffed generously with light hazelnut cream although I couldn’t taste much hazelnut flavor. All in all a good cronut, but not worth its price. Maybe the Dominique Ansel one is worth it?

Recently opened, I caught it out of the corner of my eye and just happened to need some baked goodies, so I popped in.
Very clean and bright, the place has something for everyone. Decent selection of cakes and pastries, but a little light on the cookie selection.
Fresh bread was tasty enough and I got me a killer jelly doughnut as a treat to myself.
Super friendly ladies working there– I will put this place on my regular rotation for baked goods!

I like to make multiple visits before I review A great new Bakery; Go to Buon Amici. I finally had my favorite Danish which is Blueberry, It was still fresh and tasty at 4 pm. On Sunday night I ate about Three quarters of a Perfect Fruit Tart better then other so called Bakeries in My neighborhood. This Bakery is very new and Has a Large Following already!! Chocolate Tart was also great. They even make a rare Italian pastry schefodel. I will be buying a box for my Italian family from California.
Don’t forget to try their Saint Joseph’s cake. Most items are made in 2 Sizes, Saint Joseph’s their house speciality is great too. Also enjoyed their scones which were made in the True British way. They also serve wonderful coffee. Overall I will try everything there. It might be a while before I update this Review, because I will be tasting everything in the bakery, I am a dessert maven

My family has been trying something new each time we go, which is OFTEN… and I can say we have absolutely loved everything we tried… we love the variety of breads, muffins, candy & desserts selections. Everything we have tried has been fresh, delicious & bursting with flavor! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
