Not thoroughly impressed.
Smoking throughout the entire store, including the restaurant. Generally you would hear people complain about that but no complaints here. If anything, it gave my rating the third star. Sad, huh? It is what it is. Quit judging me.
I browsed the store before eating because I am a shot glass junkie and wanted to add to my collection. There were none to found. Sad day for me. I’ll get over it.
My husband and I made our way to the restaurant section and seated ourselves. Those menus though. The grease from last weeks customers was caked on. That’s my assumption at least. Much to my dismay, my husband still chose to order.
Our server put down her cigarette to come take our order. Ok… now I am a smoker and I know I went all pro-​smoker earlier in my post but I’m also a firm believer of not smoking where customers can see you if you are indulging while on the clock. Not the case here.
We peered earlier at the «all you can eat buffet» but chose not to risk it. He ordered a bacon cheeseburger and french fries instead. I figured I would go a safer route and hit up the Chester’s Chicken on the store side of the building and bring it to the booth to dine with my mister.
That was a mistake. I cant put a age on the cooked chicken strips that I was served but based on their ability to be used as a weapon due to toughness, I would estimate 3 days. Ok. I exaggerate but not by much. My mister went on a mission to get our money refunded. The cashier put up a fight but he was eventually victorious. What a knight in shining armor he was. :)
Hubby ended up going the safe route with his bacon cheeseburger and ended up sharing with me. Dawww. It was pretty tasty for a frozen pattie burger if I do say so myself. The fries were fresh as well. Our shared meal was definitely this place’s redeeming quality.
So yeah, maybe 3 stars was a bit much but the tasty burger and ability to light up after our meal before hitting the road justifies it… somewhat.
