Smithfield Center

If you are not from the area this center will seem wayyyy out of the way. I was driving and driving wondering if I would ever get there. I arrived safe and sound without incident, to attend a wedding. The lobby and hallways are okay. The ladies room has plenty of stalls and is clean. What stood out to me the most is the main hall/​ballroom where the reception was held. Gorgeous! The dark floor. The over-​sized chandeliers. The beautifully decorated tables. I really think that this ballroom can be the perfect setting for many types of events. Even a wedding, birthday party, retirement party, corporate event or holiday party. The wedding was in the evening so I did not have much time to peruse around the exterior. But there is an outdoor deck where events and wedding ceremonies can be held against a beautiful backdrop. When I saw the professional wedding photos I saw how much this location truly had to offer. The happy couple’s photos were picturesque. It looked like they were at home on a mansion. I think it is very important to have fantastic places to take photos at a wedding location.
There are 4 nearby hotels. They can be very pricey, depending on the time of year. Hampton Inn & Suites –Smithfield is the most affordable.
