Browns Automotive is a Cooper tire dealer, an auto service center repairing domestic and foreign vehicles, and a pre-​owned vehicle dealer. We serve customers from Smithfield, Carrollton, and Newport News, VA, as well as surrounding areas. Our ASA and ASE-​certified technicians handle brake repairs, general auto repairs, state inspections, preventative maintenance, tire services and sales. Call us 24 hours a day if you need towing. We’re open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM — 5:30 PM. As a tire dealer, we feature tires from top brands including Cooper, MICHELIN®, and BFGoodrich®. History

Established in 1948.

We are a family owned and operated facility. Kevin Brown is the current owner and is the third generation to run the business. He has been running the business for the past year. The business was started by Kevin’s Grandfather Quincy Brown. Quincy successfully ran the business until 1991. When it was then taken over by Wesley and Darlene Brown, who grew and expanded the business. Kevin hopes to one day pass the business down to his three children.

Kevin is the father of three beautiful children, and a devoted husband. He is a car and motor cycle enthusiast. As the third generation to run the business he grew up in the automotive industry and has grown to love it.
