I’m a lifelong resident of this town, 33 years old, went into store with sister, 35 years old. I pick out two bottles of red, willing to spend over $ 80 dollars (although they did not have our preferred bottle outside of the single display). I walk to the counter, take out my credit card and ID, and am denied sale because my sister also does not have her ID on her as well. I understand in this day and age the laws and responsibilities of selling alcohol, but lets use some rationale thought and reasonability here. Im the sole purchaser, we are north of a decade past the legal drinking age, and clearly the intentions here are not misunderstood by any vendor with any shred of common sense.

I’ve been shopping at this wine and spirits store for over a decade as it is the only store of its kind in Slingerlands. It tends to have what I’m looking for at a reasonable price, and the staff are always helpful.

They were extremely rude/​snotty here to me for the second time will not be going back. Can’t believe how rude the gray haired stoner was to me. drinking wine in the back of the store & when I politely asked, ‘Do you work here?’ He abrasively answered, ‘No-​I just volunteer!’ Way to make someone feel comfortable/​welcome. The cashier was rude/​condescending as well. Don’t know why I ever went back after the first time.
