History
Established in 2002.
Palmettos on the Bayou is a charming and elegant Acadian style restaurant that sits on Bayou Bonfouca at the historic site of Roberts Landing. Our unique 5,000 square foot covered deck is the perfect space with spectacular views of lush foliage and tranquil waters which is nestled in a lush cypress marsh and surrounded by moss laden oak trees. Palmettos on the Bayou is uniquely situated between three National Wildlife Refuges, all representative of the rich and varied wildlife and habitats of this coastal region. Inside the restaurant each room boasts its own personality with works of art by renowned artist George Dunbar and hand painted murals by local artist Phil Galatas. We feature delectable contemporary Louisiana cuisine and offer a variety of packages that can accommodate your budget and taste. Selections can also be made from our extensive award winning wine list.
