Dante’s & Philly’s

I tried this place a few times after I moved to the Slidell area (in summer of 2013) and, after the third time, vowed not to return. The food was mediocre all three times, with the «steak» in the Phily Cheesesteak seeming more like hamburger meat. After the first time, I had to order extra cheese (which seemed non-​existent on the first order). The final straw was when I had to wait 25 minutes for an order of fries. I finally got fed up and left (though I had already paid for the order), as my takeout cheesesteak was getting cold.

I have eaten here about 15 times and I have never been disappointed. The service and food have always been great.

Cheap, cheap, cheap. Two huge slices of pepperoni and a drink for six bucks. Not a bad deal but you get what you pay for. the pizza wasn’t terrible nor was it great. Nice thin crust and a decent enough sauce. The cheese is where I get turned off. It has absolutely no stretch to it at all. A sure sign of fake mozzarella. For that you lose a star.

OMGoodness… i ate here @ 12:30p and i’m still suffering some 7hrs later. The service was good and the prices seemed fair, the food was good (at the time)… however, i’m paying for it now! When I got back to the office, 2 other ladies stated they had similar experiences (food was good at the time, upset stomachs later).
