Aamco Transmissions

I came to this AAMCO after the other in Metairie was busy and short handed. The one in Metairie had replaced my timing belt/​water pump, and a wheel bearing (they had suggested that I replace the wheel bearing after my first visit, which I have already reviewed them on).
After all repairs were done, I got in my car, and the check engine light came on as I was leaving. When I came back to let them know, they spoke to other location about repairing for free. I drove all of the way to Slidell to the other location (this one) to have the repairs done. Paul, the owner was there, and we were discussing the situation. The other gentleman there stated that it was impossible to have the check engine light come on after being repaired, I was wrong in his opinion. Paul asked me why I would have the timing belt changed, and when I informed him that the owners manual stated that should be done at certain mileage, he looked at me as if I was an idiot. They did take it into the shop, I am not sure what they did, but the check engine light did go off.
After leaving the shop, I was asked to either leave my vehicle (I live in NOLA, and there was no offer to drive me home), or bring it back in the morning, as my car was now hesitating, it acted as if it didn’t want to go.
I’m sorry, I didn’t go back, and I did not tell them that I was not going to go back. I really dislike how I was treated, and that my car came out with a different issue. I will not be going back to the Slidell AAMCO.
This location is only receiving two stars because the other location is just so great, which is kind of unfair, but oh well.

Location not conducive for parking. Seemingly disorganized. The quote to fix the oil leaks, unfortunately, was not cost effective for my old Saturn. The employees were nice and when I asked for an oil change, waved me off. The honest reasoning was that it was cheaper for me to have that done elsewhere, as they do not regularly stock oil.
