Sky Chevron & Towing

This business is clearly crooked. I’m writing specifically in regard to Skykomish Towing. We broke down driving up toward Steven’s Pass about 2 miles before the lodge lot. We waited for AAA and had to leave our car unattended for a time because the spot we stalled, there was no cell reception: none!
As the law states, only a state patrol can initiate impound, but you are allowed to leave a vehicle unattended to arrange a tow.
You see where this review is headed?
We waited for AAA. They picked us up and took us back to our vehicle only to find the Skykomish tow truck blocking our vehicle’s front all prepared to hook up.
I figured there was a misunderstanding so I let my AAA guy talk to the Sky Tow man. The Skykomish towing rep was totally trying to scam an impound out of us prematurely and lied to our face saying the police «want to impound it, so we have to wait to see what they say!»
I tried to speak some sense by pointing out that «WE ARE HERE WITH A TOW, so let us tow our vehicle!»
Instead he mumbled something about paying a half fee to let us tow it with our AAA.
What!!!
To make the next event in this story have sense, the problem with our car needs to be known.
Mind you, this is the day after thanksgiving and my girlfriend and I were trying to drive to a family dinner. We just bought an SUV that randomly doesn’t start. We thought the problem was fixed but it wasn’t apparently.
What happened after finding this rude Skykomish Towing guy blocking our car was this:
I occupied my car because they won’t impound if you’re occupying it and/​or arranging a tow. I knew the police would side with us because I knew the law (which this towing company was clearly trying to impede upon)
But just as we jumped into my car, which this towing company was trying to prevent, I thought to try to start it.
It Started!!!
IT STARTED!
FUCK YOU SKYKOMISH TOWING!
You were actually trying to entrap us into an unnecessary impound right during thanksgiving right when we had AAA with us, right while lying to our faces and blocking us.
Well I back up and flipped a peel out U-​Turn and ripped on home. It was great to watch your dumbfounded face confused as could possibly be while I peeled off!
This business is clearly corrupt!
Don’t use them or support them.

HORRIBLE «customer service» — if you can call it that. My husband and I stopped in to pickup som snacks for the road and use the restroom on Sunday 10÷16÷11 5PM. We were planning on picking up water, pepperoni sticks and what ever else looked good. We were driving back to woodinville area from Leavenworth. When we asked for the restroom key, the nasty old man behind the counter informed us that the restrooms are for «customer use only». We told him we were planning on buying a few items. He still would not give us the restroom key, he crossed his arms, leaned back & told us that if we were customers then there was no need to «debate». My husband and I were so shocked and upset by his terrible attitude that we left the store without buying anything or using the restroom. We stopped further down the road, at another gas/​convenience store. The gentlemen there was VERY nice and had heard about the nasty old man in Skykomish. We spent about $ 12 at our 2^nd stopafter we used the restrooms. wish I could remember the name of the place because it is THE place to stop on highway 2. Do NOT waste your time or money at the Skykomish Chevron on highway 2. Terribly RUDE !!

*Don’t patronize this business, they dumped their Chevron franchise recently
*Not sure you could have WORSE people working in customer service and I have tried, I really have, stopped in there a dozen times in the last 6 months
*Only reason they are in business as there isnt gas for a long stretch, boycott these aholes and fill up in Monroe or Leavenworth
