Juniper Well Ranch is a 50 acre ranch in Northern Arizona. It offers cabin rental, event space (weddings, parties, educational, corporate, reunions etc), horse boarding and a vineyard and winery/tasting room.
History
Established in 1980.
Juniper Well Ranch was purchased by author, Frank Bonham and his wife Gloria in 1980 as a writers retreat. At an elevation of just under 5000 feet, the fifty acre guest ranch at the base of Granite Mountain is bordered by forest service land and the Santa Fe/Burlington railroad. Juniper Well Ranch was named for the historic rock well house, built around the turn of the 20th century by Arizona state senator, Mullins. The ancient Alligator Bark Juniper Tree next to it welcomes visitors as they drive through the gate. Frank Bonham continued to write and publish novels from his hilltop log home until his death in 1988.
