Annoying saleswoman!!! She wants to know when was my last time shopping with them… I told her that i don’t know. She keep ask that it was long time ago or??? Than i told her again… i don’t know and i don’t remember! I was hoping she ll leave me alone… but no! She kept insisting to tel her when! Wow! I ask her is it that important and she start arguing and talking and talking on my head… She didn’t leave me alone till i left.

Surprised at the reviews! I went for my birthday was greeted warmly. The person helped me was Elena who asked what I liked and brought out my style type of clothes. The items were awesome and even got sale items! She showed me how to pair them with items and how to dress up and down looks! During checkout they even took care of me further and was thrilled. It was the best birthday shopping ever! Elena Bartolomei and Helena was the manager, will be coming back to visit you soon! Thank you for the service.
If you have never been shopping at this store you seriously need to check this place out! Great sales and customer service!

I rarely return anything my mother purchases for me. I love her sense of fashion all the way around. This time I received a dress for Christmas that was not my style. It reminded me of Lucille Ball’s wardrobe in I Love Lucy. I am no domestic diva and there is no way I am going to shave my legs for work.
I had just finished my shift and decided to visit WHBM before I went home. I was excited to pick up a new work shirt or to purchase a new pair of dress slacks. I had heard from a lady in Macy’s, that for my body style, their product would fit me perfectly. I even told my mother that she should take a look at their selection.
I know that WHBM is pricey. Unless I am doing something on my own time; I refuse to spend that kind of money for a job that pays me barely enough to exist. The staff did not help me right away; but after they finished their little huddle about some kind of store project they were planning for tomorrow, they turned their focus towards me. I handed one of the associates my dress, along with the gift receipt. Then I went straight to the clearance section. Mom found that dress at a great price, $ 30. Somehow I knew that my endeavor to replace this dress would end in disappointment. What I did not expect was to eventually leave completely disgusted with the level of service. After wasting my time, browsing damaged clearance items, I found 2 pieces that were contenders for replacing the ridiculously-​girlie dress. Then I looked at the price tag. Even at a reduced cost, a button-​down shirt and a pair of jeans were still $ 50 each. I don’t call that sticker shock. I can find garments sewn to the same quality, brand new for $ 50. When I walked into the store, there was a sign posted outside that items in the store were 60% off. I know how that works. It’s only off the new things. You’d think, however, they would offer something a little more affordable for the clearance items where the fabric has been over-​worked from people trying on these clothes over and over. No doubt, some of those people being too big for the item and stretching it out.
I thought perhaps there might be an additional discount on the pieces of clothing I picked out. The 2 staff members on duty, one being a manager, decided to finally discuss their promotions with me. There was no way these items were selling for any less. I knew the answer, but I then asked the manager if I could return the item and just get cash back. Of course, it didn’t work that way. She then begins irritating me by telling me I could receive store credit. I didn’t want store credit. After learning their sale wasn’t much of a sale, I didn’t want their business. Even their scarves were $ 60. Really?
I am not a materialistic person. I finally asked if they could just credit the account on the gift receipt. Now I am appalled when they tell me no. Since when? Then I suggested that I call my mother and she could give her credit card number on the phone. «We can’t return your item unless we have the actual card and the original receipt.» By now I was not impressed with the manager’s behavior at all. There is no reason why she could not have handled the transaction over the phone with my mother. There was more than enough information to make both ends check out all the way around. It’s now a matter of principle for me.
Thirty dollars isn’t much; and I’d consider donating this dress to the salvation army. After the way I was treated, I am going to grab my mother’s card and that original receipt and get my money back. Any company presenting themselves in this manner does not deserve one cent! I can’t believe I have to tell my mother that I don’t like the Christmas present she got me and that I want to return it. This will probably hurt her feelings. Maybe the manager on duty should have thought of that before she decided to be such a pain. Worst customer experience ever!

I left because I wanted to be left alone. I went to the mall because I had been nearby and though it would be nice to just walk around and look at a few stores and maybe find something. I was highly annoyed leaving this store.
As I walked in I was greeted, ok, that’s fine. The woman asked me what I was looking for today. «Nothing in particular, just thought I would stop by and look around since I just finished in court.» She keeps standing next to me asking if I’m looking for work clothes or casual. Um, I just said I wasn’t looking for anything in particular, just say you can assist if I need you and then leave me alone!
I saw a pair of really cute shoes so I asked if I could try on a size 6.5. She brings me the shoes and then says «what are you looking for shoes for? Any special occasion?» My response, «no, I just thought these were cute.» She says «Oh ok, just shoe shopping today then?» No, damnit, can’t anyone just go shopping for something that they like rather than searching for something particular, leave me alone! She kept hovering over even though I explained that the shoes were too big. Well try standing up in them, maybe they will feel better. They are too big, it is obvious, if you don’t have a small size then go away!
I snuck out when she finally turned away. I was so annoyed and uncomfortable here because she wouldn’t let me just look around. I will never enter this store again.

The clothes are the same at all the stores around the country so there are no surprises. The clothes are okay, nothing great but occasionally cute. What makes me want to go some place else is, as the previous post states, the sales women are super aggressive. They’re always trying to push stuff on me, coming in the dressing room, constantly trying to sell me shoes or jewelry or whatever they can grab. I have shopped at other WHBM across the country and generally, the sales people are pushy. WHBM shares ownership with Chicos and Soma, equally pushy sales people. Stop already!

WHBM’s window display attracted me to the store this past weekend and low-​and-​behold! I found quite a bit that I liked and spent over $ 350 (which is easy to do). But the trip was a whirlwind: the retail clerks were overly-​aggressive with trying to make a sale and one of the women ended up coming in the dressing room while I was still half-​naked! Eek!!!
Not only that but I found out two days after buying the clothes that one pair of pants didn’t fit correctly (even though I had bought the exact same pair of pants in the same size in a different color). Unfortunately I had cut off the tags once I had gotten home and put the clothes in my closet… I guess I got too excited. When I went to return the pants the manager would not let me exchange them for a smaller size.
I ended up calling the Customer Service line on the website and got a refund, but the Manager’s snotty attitude plus the over-​zealous saleswomen will make me stay away from this store. Banana Republic, Ann Taylor Loft, and J. Crew have just as good quality and I haven’t ever had experiences like I had here.
This was my one and only WHBM shopping trip. Good Riddance!
