Stuart Sondheimer MD, Chicago Lasik surgeon & ophthalmologist, was among the first physicians in the US to offer refractive surgery to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism. He has performed more than 20,000 eye surgeries, including Lasik eye surgery and cataract surgery.
Having returned to private practice in his hometown of Chicago, Dr. Sondheimer approaches vision health with an emphasis on patient care. He is able to spend time with patients, learning about their vision and lifestyles, developing vision systems tailored to a patient’s specific needs. Dr. Sondheimer’s focus is on preserving, maintaining and restoring eye sight in practical, and often life-changing, ways.
