North Pointe Motors is a privately owned independent repair shop owned and managed by Tim Kompass. Tim has been working on and around cars since he was ten. He rebuilt his first engine in his first car when he was 14 years old in the Power Mechanics class at Lake Forest High School. Tim started working in the auto industry while still in High School. He became the parts and service director of Highland Park Volvo by the time he was 25 years old. After many years working at the Dealer level he saw a real need to offer something better to the auto consumer. Tim opened North Pointe Motors with the vision to offer customers a better level of technical knowledge, using factory trained technicians and the same original equipment parts that the dealer offers, but in a friendly, honest, happy environment and at much more affordable prices.
