Review for customer service only, I did not have any actual work done at this location. I came in for an estimate on the damage done to my car and was taken care of very promptly. Once I arrived, I was a little disappointed with the friendliness of the first two people that I had encountered. One of these people eventually walked through the waiting room sarcastically stating «Today is going to be a good one, I can just tell» I don’t know his name (at one point the receptionist referred to him as the Allstate estimator) but he came off as very condescending to every customer that I watched him interact with.
Despite all of this, I feel like the Farmer’s adjusted that I dealt with was very friendly and took his time giving me an accurate estimate for the damage done to my car. He was very meticulous and noticed a few minor things that really impressed me. Thank you for taking the time to estimate my car to the best of your ability!

Had several jobs done here before, always been happy. This will be the last time here. They don’t honor estimates. They can’t even be bothered to open a part box to see if a part is painted. So the car gets dropped off for repair and when we get home they call us back to pick it up because now they have to paint the part. So now another trip to waste our time. That’s after they have taken our deposit so now we are stuck. Talked to the owner who says that’s the way it is. I guess our time and money isn’t worth as much as theirs. Be very careful if you come here, ask many questions. Hope it goes better for you. UPDATE… Deposit refunded, thanks, Dave has anger issues and no customer service skills. If you go do not deal with him. Best of luck to all.

Excellent service! From the moment I walked in to the completion of repair everyone was friendly and helpful. They called me with the progress of repair and kept me informed. This is my new to go to place for car body work.

My car was sitting on the street, minding its own business when another car ran into it, tearing off its blinker, ruining its fender and bumper, and causing me to become acquainted with the fine folks at Hi-​Tech Auto of Skokie when my insurance guy sent me there.
They took great care of me! They were friendly, professional, the write-​up estimate was clear and easy to understand. My car was done when they said it would be done, *and* they even detailed it for me! You have to understand, this is a 2002 Subaru Forester whose primary purpose is to be the Pooch Park car for a medium-​sized slobbery Bloodhound, so detailing is no small feat. That was a nice touch; thanks Hi-​Tech Auto Body!
Hi-​Tech also re-​attached this weather stripping on a back door for me, for free, that had nothing to do with the hit-​and-​run, and touched up some very small rust spots for me for free, since they had the paint on hand. That was great, because it’s something my regular repair shop, which I love, wouldn’t do (they don’t have the paint color on-​hand, they TOTALLY would re-​attach the weather-​stripping, I should be clear).
Knock on wood that I’m never in an actual accident, and that my car is never in another hit-​and-​run, but if I am, I’m definitely going back to Hi-​Tech Auto Body. They’re great!

I got rear-​ended by someone, just a minor fender bender and I was sent over to this place by Farmer’s insurance to get an estimate on the damage. I had gotten two other estimates prior to this visit so I had an idea of what they were going to estimate for the damage amount.
the estimate was WAY below the other two estimates I got from reputable auto body shops (which were rated well on Unilocal). I even pointed out another area of damage not related to the bumper that was caused in the accident and the adjuster dismissed it.
it’s clear that they are an insurance company shop, and not someone I would trust to do the actual work. they completely underestimated the work and when I took my car to be repaired, the actually cost of the repair was double what they had estimated. luckily this was all paid for by the other person’s insurance company and they had approved the additional amount. so it’s not that they are a better value, but more that they work too closely with the insurance company.

I had a fender bender on my left tail light that needed repair. Aside from that my serpentine belt needed to be replaced. After doing a report, my auto insurance recommended me to Hi Tech along with a few others because they were closest to my work.
So I called the shops to get some quotes on the belt and to see how much towing would cost. Compared to the rest, Hi Tech was the best in handling my situation. I spoke with David and he gave me some advice with the belt and the towing. (Using special order parts or generic, since the model of my car is discontinued) They were so close to my work, I was still able to drive my car there and avoid the towing. On a side note, this happened around the holidays, knowing that I assumed the whole process of him finding parts would take much longer.
Fast forward, David called me the next day after leaving the car there to let me know he found all the parts needed for the repair on the body and belt. It took them the exact time they estimated for all the repairs.
My car looks great, the belt is fixed, and they saved me money. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

I have a new car and a new insurance company. Someone sideswiped me and since I had such a great experience here I decided to go against what my new car insurance recommended.
I made an appointment for an estimate and when I got there, the front desk receptionist was absolutely terrible to deal with. I told her I made an appointment and she looked at me like I was an alien and said «no you didn’t». I guess she saw some note somewhere with my name and said, «oh yeah, you did». She gave me some car rental form and a waiver to sign and I told her that I wanted an estimate first. I wasn’t singing any waiver without talking to someone first. She looked annoyed and reminded me, that wasn’t happening that day since their estimator is gone for the day. So I told her that I wish someone would have told me that on the phone when I called.
Basically, service matters a lot. One bad experience at the front desk is enough to make me go elsewhere which is what I’m now doing.

Awful. Asked for a 2^nd quote and took them 3 weeks to get back to me. After a laundry list of excuses, they finally sent the quote back $ 30 higher than the original and said they didn’t want to repair it.
