Gregory A Turowski, MD

I recently had a procedure done with Dr. Turowski and am very happy with my results so far. I am still healing, which is why I cannot give 5 stars just yet but will update my review in a couple months when the results are closer to final. So far everything looks great!
I was up and about a couple hours after my surgery. I did not expect there to be so little discomfort and I did not even get the pain pump. I had moderate swelling for a couple days and painless bruising. That was it!
I was really amazed at how easy the whole process was at this office, from the consultation to the pre-​op to the surgery itself and the follow-​up care. The one time I called with a question after my surgery Dr. Turowski returned my call within 5 minutes (on Father’s Day!). When I had another question about my sutures a week later I was seen the same day. The entire staff has been helpful and responsive.
The main thing I want to commend Dr. Turowski on is that he gave me a very honest consult and made sure I had realistic expectations. Like someone else said: he underpromises and overdelivers.

I would not recommend this place. I had many issues w/​my breast lift here such as:
Scheduling mistakes, anesthesia preference mistakes, lack of communication within the office, my incisions opened 3 times after surgery over the course of six months, leading to multiple visits where Dr Turowski didn’t see me at all except for once where he walked out on me. I had to get an antibiotic prescription from them just in case of infection. Called a year later for my records and was told they don’t have any record of me ever having come back after surgery… no prescription records, no after photos, no records of my appts for each time my incisions split open.

This review is VERY real, as a patient, every time there was a mistake or issue, I was treated as if nothing was wrong and as if nothing had happened, I do not appreciate the attempt to do the same in the case of my review. Why not message me to discuss, instead of again making it seem as if the issue is non existant? Me, my experience and my review are all very very real. In 2007 I had rhinoplasty and a chin implant with Dr. Turowski. This man botched my nose by giving me a crooked septum with blocked breathing; 70% on the left side and 50% on the right. My nose wasn’t crooked prior to surgery. As soon as he took the cast off I noticed my nose was crooked and his response was that was «just swelling» and it would «go away». It never did. When I would come in to talk to him about it, his response was defensive and he would never let me speak because he doesn’t listen. I had to have revision rhinoplasty years later to correct his mistakes. Personally, there are WAY better rhino docs in the city of Chicago that I would recommend over this guy. Also, he does not do a closed procedure, which is the way most surgeons are operating now so you don’t have visual scars.

I have had a series of procedures done here on 2 occasions. I was pleased with my first breast implants but very disappointed by lumpy liposuction. When I went back for corrective lypo and a breast lift, I came out with even lumpier liposuction and my breast lift was horrible. The skin isn’t smooth and even which is very poor suturing on his part.
The staff is very friendly and talks a good game. But, I doubt they would even have Dr. Turowski work on them.
