At Duron Studio Photography

…we put you at ease in our studio, at your home, or at any location. We’re casual because we’re experienced. And through the years, we’ve learned that there isn’t just one solution that works. That’s why we use a combination of photography/​videography styles and technology to capture you and your moments. You might say we use a hybrid.

Our Goals

.is to stay as unobtrusive as possible while capturing the true spirit of your event. Although we prefer a more documentary approach for most of the day, we still take care to get great formal shots without pulling you away from your family and friends for long periods of time. With a little planning we can work out a schedule that suits your individual needs.

We shoot your event using the latest digital cameras. We offer full service album design, retouching and a wide variety of albums and prints, giving you a great range of options for wedding photographs that you will cherish for years to come.

With over two decades of international (Israel, Sweden, Paris, Italy, Jamaica, all over USA) photojournalism and wedding photography experience, Duron Shem Tov has become a true storyteller. Being a humorous and easygoing person, Duron puts his clients at ease and inject much fun into the day. Drawing inspirations from his homeland Israel and his years of experience in Sweden and currently the United States, Duron Shem Tov is able to translate your special day into breathtaking images where the couples can cherish and reminisce in years to come.

Duron works with a creative team of internationally experienced photographers & videographers. Together they have extensive backgrounds in editorial, commercial, fashion, and documentary photography /​videography.

He is a very nice guy. My company hired him to do head shots. Mine were awful. They didn’t even look like me. My company ended up using a different photo I supplied. So it was a waste of money. My husband is an amateur photographer and he said the angle was wrong and background etc
I’m sure he is good at other things. But skip the head shots.

Duron shot our wedding 2 weeks ago and he along with his assistant, Lana were exceptional. Duron was a pleasure from the day i met him. He was so easy to work with, he went above and beyond day of the wedding. Even my husband, who was worried he would have a tough time taking pictures all day said Duron put him at complete ease. Our proofs were sent to us a week after the wedding, which is unheard of. If you need a photographer, use Duron, he is beyond professional and amazing!

They did a small but important job for me: restoring a photo that I had ruined as a child. I had scribbled all over my own baby picture with an ink pen: ruining the teeth and the flowers on my dress, and there were no negatives or other copies of this pic in existence. They scanned the image and used the original to determine what it should look like, created a new print, and gave me the digital file. They did a wonderful job. My mother never forgave me for ruining my only baby picture, and I actually cried a little because she isn’t here now to show her.

Duron is a joy to work with. My husband and my wedding was August 17th 2013. We liked a photojournalism approach for our big day and we couldn’t have been happier. From our first meeting we knew we would be working with an artist, someone who wanted to capture the essence of what our wedding would be. The follow up with photo proofs after the wedding was also extremely quick. We chose a digital photography package and Duron was very flexible with my photo requests. Duron is an artist and is incredibly talented! I brought my recently adopted 3lb dog in for pet photography (i’m not a fan of black and white shots that the other studios do) and he was incredibly patient (working with a small dog) and was able to produce phenomenal shots of myself and my baby.
He took about 200 pictures which I came the next day to select from. Capturing images of a little dog is very difficult but Duron is a seasoned pro.
His prices are very fair (I’m a poor law student) for a professional photographer but the reason I selected him was for his expertise. He experience is demonstrated by the quality of his work. He is simply a perfectionist and there are thousands of pictures that prove that. In fact, his work is even in magazines!

Duron of Duron Studios in Skokie Illinois is not only an outstanding photographer, but he is an artist. We hired Duron to photograph the wedding of my son and his beautiful new bride and everyone in the wedding party was absolutely delighted with the results.
Duron and his assistant where there at all the critical moments from the bride getting ready, to capturing those moments of joy from the excitement of the bridal party to the tear in my son’s eye when he saw his bride enter the church. One of the photographers was always there. Never in the way, but always looking for those special moments.
Duron took time to make sure we got all the family grouping pictures we wanted and then at the reception took great care looking for all those special moments from the first dance to the bride putting on her cowboy boots for a little extra fun and then all the guests shots that are dear to us.
When you find someone like Duron that has a passion for his work and delivers outstanding results and service you just have to compliment him and let others know about his services. We would recommend Duron to our friends and would hire him again for our other children’s weddings.

Our wedding photographer. Both Duron and his assistant, Lana did a wonderful job of capturing everything that went on, and really «telling the story» of our wedding. I was a fan of both the candid and posed shots, and we selected a good mix for our album. The photographers were practically invisible as they were taking candids, and were extremely personable during the posed shots. I have been at weddings were the photographer is very loud and obnoxious, and it really ruins the mood. Lana and Duron are both pretty soft spoken, but they really get the job done.
When you go into their office for the first time you can see lots of examples of full albums from real weddings. As my mom said, «he makes everyone look good!»
All the photos are digital, so after the wedding you get a traditional proof book, as well as a CD and they post the photos online for a few moths after the wedding. They hand out little cards at the wedding itself so everyone will know what the website and password are (the cards can also be made with your photo on them — a nice touch)…this is FABULOUS, because it means you don’t have to be in charge of ordering prints for everyone, just direct them to the website.
I had a few issues with getting the album together, and I still haven’t taken advantage of ordering the wall photo that came with my wedding package (and the wedding was a year and a half ago) but I can really strongly recommend Duron Studio Photography.

I had my recent passport photos taken here. They did a really good job — the photographer was quick and corteous. They were priced the same as walgreens, but the service better, quicker, and the photos were clearer and nicer!
