Been doing business with Mike at DH for years on a contractor and personal purchase basis. You may find it cheaper online, but his knowledge when it comes to hardware and service is SO worth a few extra pennies here and there IF it even costs more. Always found him to be fair and reasonable to work with.

Although Decorator H&B has a lot of products on display, their prices are too high. We went in to look at front door locksets. We has just replaced the lockset on our entry door last spring(2011) with an Emtek model that cost ~$ 300(through Evanston Lumber). The guy at Dcorator H&B quoted us ~$ 500! And insisted that«any» mortise lockset would cost us at least $ 500. Minus points for this! Also, as soon as the salesman grasped that we were interested in an economical lockset, he exuded an attitude that we were wasting his time. Putting aside the guy’s poor manner, this place must cater to people who are oblivious to comparing prices and to internet shopping.

If you’re looking to get your kitchen or bathroom remodled, this is the place to go. They have a huge showroom filled with all the supplies you can possibly need. They have a large selection and a good amount of stuff to choose from.
