Only reason I gave this place 1 star is because zero stars was not an option. Worst service I have ever had. They’ve had my car for 4 weeks already with no end in sight. Every single thing they promise is a lie and ends up going unfilled. You would be better off getting your car fixed by blind people. Do yourself a favor and never go here. I hope they go out of business.

The paint on the bumper that they «fixed» didn’t match the car, and didn’t even match from the left to the right side. The bumper never fit, and pointed edges over the wheel came loose and stuck out. I went back three times. Their guy leaned on the bumper with his rear end to «fix» it. The bumper was not even attached at those points. The center of it separated from the grill. The paint is peeling, the bumper is now falling off, it damaged the splash guard which cost $ 130 to fix, and for this shoddy work authorized by GEICO, CCofA got $ 2000.
They did the worst job possible, and it’s astonishing to think they were authorized and paid by GEICO. Makes me sick.

I got into a minor fender bender and was referred to this repair place by my insurance company. It was such a painless process. Mike, the guy at the repair place, was such a pleasure to work with. Very honest, professional, and was willing to work with me on what repairs needed to be done. I would highly recommed this place!

Had a collision claim with Geico (hit passenger door and rear quarter panel on a garage pillar all by myself) and went to this location for a one stop shop. Enterprise rental was onsite and rate was good. Geico agent Jack was fair and straightforward with estimate. John G the shop manager got my car done in 5 days, a few days under the estimate. Job was done well and car looks like it did prior to accident.

Am I happy about getting involved in a car accident, hell no! Am I happy that I used CCA after the accident happened? Absolutely yes!
While I was not thrilled that it took Geico more than two weeks to settle the claim, I was happy about my decision to use CCA as Geico recommended. Originally, I considered to repair my car at the dealership, but they do not do body work so I took Geico’s recommendation to use CCA.
I did not quite get the negative review from the other reviewer. If he/​she couldn’t even find the door, I don’t know who else he/​she should blame. Anyone can read will find the place. I bet even a caveman should be able to find it :) Enterprise is also on-​site, which made it a very convenient one-​stop shop. Jack walked me through the damages, Andy got my rental car and I was on my way back in less than 30 minutes.
Over the following days, I received multiple VMs from Jack updating me the status, as well as text messages from the store manager. Sometimes, there were some inconsistencies in their messages, but it was not a big deal overall.
Got my car back last week. Very good job!

Being involved in a traffic accident, is never a pleasant experience. Recently, my vehicle was struck and because the other driver was at fault, I went through Geico which is her insurance provider. Collision Centers of America has a Geico office in the facility, as does Enterprise. The ability to work with the claim adjuster, rent-​a-​car service, and repair service in one facility made an otherwise difficult experience, not nearly as bad as it could have been. ***Please note that the only insurance provider at the facility is a Geico rep, so using a different provider may result in a different experience than I had.***

I could not have had a more OPPOSITE experience than the other reviewers! I rear ended someone last week Thursday, GEICO, my insurance, got me an appt here the next day (Friday). Once I got home, I checked out the reviews on Unilocal & was really worried. I understand, you have to take these things w/​a grain of salt. So I printed them out & took them w/​me. I had no problem locating CCA on Dempster. The address IS clearly listed on a GINORMOUS sign, that also says, «Collision Centers of America,» along w/​Enterprise & some other business names. It was VERY easy to enter their parking lot. So right off the bat, I was hoping my experience was off to a better start than the other reviewers. The employees directed me into the garage, where I was politely greeted by both a CCA employee & the GEICO rep, Jack. I asked Jack if he saw the reviews on Unilocal & he said yes, they just had a meeting about them with his supervisor. Ok, great! So I told him, I was admittedly leary, but was willing to give CCA a shot, since GEICO recommended them, & if they did 100% opposite of the other reviews, I’d happily give a RAVING review. But if they were even close, they’d get another shitty review. HERE’S MY RAVING REVIEW!!! Jack looked at the damage to my front bumper, told me he didn’t think it’d needed to be replaced, but the parts under (the shock absorbers, etc.) probably would. My Chicago Cubs vanity license plate was also bent under the grill & he said if CCA couldn’t pound it out to my satisfaction, I could order a replacement plate & GEICO would reimburse me for it. Great. Jack told me he’d give me a call in the afternoon once the CCA guys had an estimate of the cost of the damage & how long it’d take. Great, so far so good. Went into the office to sign the paperwork, also asked the NICE man in the office if they saw the reviews on Unilocal.Again, gave him my schpeel about doing 100% opposite the job as the other reviewers. He assured me they would do a great job & I wouldn’t be disappointed & was shocked I would be happy to write a great review. Heck yeah, you do a great job, I write a great review! Next up, the Enterprise lady. So far, everyone I’ve encountered have been super nice, pleasant, polite & sympathetic for my accident, asking if I was injured & seemed genuinely happy that me nor the lady I hit, were injured! AWESOME! The Enterprise lady pulled up my info, took my credit card & had me signing paperwork & in no time we were out to the lot, picking up the medium size car I requested (b/​c my husband is a really big guy). No Grand Marquis for me (do they even make those anymore?!). Altogether, I think I was in & out in about 25 minutes. Jack followed through on his word, called me that afternoon with the cost of the repair & the estimate time frame (about a week). Ok, this is last week Friday, Sept 30^th. Tuesday, Oct 4^th, CCA calls me at about 4:45 pm, to let me know my car was done. WHAT THE!!! So off to Skokie the hubby & I went. Again, we were greeted by polite & pleasant employees. The car looked amazing. & the thing I was most upset about being busted, my Cubs vanity plate, looked awesome! The CCA guys did a FANTASTIC job fixing my front bumper & license plate! They even supplied us with a little bottle of touch up paint AND touched up a nick on our back bumper! I would definitely recommend them. As happy as I was, I told them I hope to «not» see them again, b/​c who wants to have their car in the body shop?! But would have no qualms going there again if needbe.
I give them 5 stars & really am questioning the other reviewers… were they actual customers or competitors? My experience couldn’t have been more opposite, thankfully. I would’ve written this review sooner, but we’ve been at a family funeral the last 2 days.

I went to this place at the insistence of GEICO that it was the easiest way to fix my car. After my boyfriend got 3 outside estimates for my rear bumper/​tail light damage ranging from $ 1800 – 2500, I was told by Skokie that it would cost $ 3100. But they insisted that all I would pay was my deductible.
I showed up on the appointment date, got the «oh sweetheart, don’t you worry, we’ll take care of everything» schtick and they gave me a rental car and shooed me out the door in 15 minutes. I called twice to get their estimate, was told a day and half later the final price and that there was more extensive damage than they had thought. They’d have to remove the entire bumper (bumper looked fine to everyone else!) and replace the whole rear right quarter panel, as well as the busted tail light. It took 10 days total to complete the work, and my boyfriend picked up the car on Friday afternoon before a long weekend. He immediately noticed that part of the bumper hadn’t been fixed, which threw their «new bumper» claim out the window. After fighting with the manager, the manager conceded that it did need to be fixed and offered to do it if he brought it back at a later date. Fine. I was out of town and when I saw the car three days later, the ENTIRE ROOF RACK OF MY PATHFINDER WAS GONE! The ROOF! Not connected to the bumper or the tail light. It looked as though they had scrapped the car for parts. i was apoplectic. Also, the brand new muffler that I had installed 2,000 miles ago was banging from side-​side and made a loud noise when the car was in gear. I was too afraid that it would fall off on the highway to drive it home.
We had to take the car back to the shop the first day they opened after the long weekend, which is 30 minutes away from my house and my boyfriend had to go because I can’t miss any more work or I’ll get fired. He saw my roof rack sitting on a shelf clearly labeled with my name, and spoke to the regional manager about the poor shape of the car that just came in for a new tail light. The convenient and crooked relationship that this guy has with GEICO should be illegal. They jacked up the prices and did poorly executed, unnecessary work, left parts of the car unattached, kicked out my muffler and returned it with a fresh wash and a smile. And GEICO gets to raise insurance rates because of the high level claim that Skokie Collision charged.
This place should be shut down for good. It’s a complete racket.

I had my car towed to CCA-​Skokie on the insistence of Geico that it would be easier to handle my claim at CCA because they have a good working relationship and the claim could be handled quickly. Talking to the production manager he was confident that he could have the car done quickly and have me back in the car in less than a week and a half, and he would take into account that I was paying out of pocket for a car rental while my car was in the shop. When I called in a week to check on my car, I was told that would not have the car ready until the beginning of next week. When I called again at the end of the week, I was told that they had just finished the first part of the work and it wouldn’t be ready until the end of the next week. When I said I needed the car back by that time as I was heading out of town (to go to my wedding), the response did not inspire confidence that it would in fact be ready by that time. I am unsure what «working relationship» Geico has with CCA-​Skokie, but it seems that CCA-​Skokie is unable to give an accurate quote as to how long a car will take to fix, or have a car fixed in any reasonable amount of time. If you need body work on your vehicle, I recommend you go somewhere else.
