Warner Nursery specializes in the sale of high quality northeastern grown trees, shrubs, perennials, herbs, vegetables, ornamental grasses including many native varieties and new cultivars to keep things interesting! Mulch, soil, fertilizer, grass seed, organic products, tools, composters, pottery, indoor décor as well as antiques and collectibles comprise the bulk of our hard good inventory.

We are well-​known for dispensing good advice on plants and gardening and for having a professional, educated and highly trained staff. We all love plants and through many years of combined experience and hands on learning, we sure know our stuff!

History

Established in 1972.

Warner Nursery was started by Donald Warner, a long-​time Simsbury resident, about 40 years ago. Mr. Warner never meant to have a retail nursery, but as more and more people started stopping at his makeshift headquarters, from which he ran a small landscape business, he started selling plants like crazy. Over time, he hired a couple of people to help him care for the plants, so a thriving nursery was born. A passion for plants, the outdoors, conservation and people drove his business then, and still does today.
