We just moved to SC from NJ. After a long day of unloading and unpacking, our gang of 6 needed hearty food fast. Rosie welcomed us as if we were old friends. We got seated relatively quickly and had chips and salsa ready and waiting. Fresh guacamole arrived with gigantic draft Dos Equis frosty mugs promptly. The nachos were great along with an endless supply of warm chips. The gang had various entrees including Hawaiian fajitas, burritos, enchiladas, tacos and tamales. A veritable feast was had by all — very tasty and fresh! The guys also enjoyed talking COPA America and all things football with Jorge our server. A great experience!

Good food, great staff. Super engaging, fun and attentive. Loved the interaction with the customers. Food came out quickly and hot. Not the place to be if you want a slow meal but i am not complaining — that’s not why we were there. food was flavorful and well made — only complaint was the guacamole — not what i expected as it was more a dressing than a true guac. we will go back.

Very nice staff. Food was just ok. Tried the carne asada as well as the carnitas and quesadillas. Wish I liked it better, as the service was great!

LOVEIT, LOVEIT, LOVEIT! This is the best place for authentic Mexican. Since moving here from Arizona, thought we would have to hunt for a good place to have Mexican Fare. Rosie is so nice and remembered us from our first visit. The food is fresh and hot, lots to choose from their menu, the employees are friendly, service is quick, and the place is very clean. It is so nice having this restaurant so close to home. Keep up the delicious meals!

Being from CA, it’s hard to find good authentic Mexican food in the south. This is the best we’ve had yet!!! The service is great, the food is amazing, and my margarita was even better. We drove 30 minutes one way to try it and I am very pleased! I’d recommend this place to anyone who loves real Mexican food. Thank you guys!!!

Rosie is the best. Fast service. Friendly and good lunch value. Always a favorite. Would prefer fresh guacamole. Yet the nachos and burritos are great picks. Best Mexican in Simpsonville.

The food was pretty good, chips ok, and salsa could be thicker, but this place still gets five stars for friendliness and great service. It’s obviously a popular spot for the area — the place was packed on a Monday night. Worth the drive from Greenville, with easy access from 385.

I cannot believe how nice the staff is. We went to see the lights at Heritage Park and it took longer than we thought it would so we began calling around to see who was open for a late night dinner. We called El Tejano at 9:50 pm and Rosie said«yes, we are open until 10:30pm, come on over.» They treated us like special guests. The food was excellent as usual. I had the Nacho El Tejano which is my all time favorite dish there and the other 6 people all ordered Fajitas, tacos, rice, beans, etc and the staff had no problem making any of it. We did not leave until 10:40 which is 10 minutes past closing time and they did not care. I highly recommend this place.

Everyone here is very friendly! The atmosphere is family friendly every time I have visited, though they do have a full bar. The fajita quesadilla and anything with chicken is great here. I’ve come at various times during the day and evening and gotten great service. I dropped a star for the cold hard tortilla chips and tomato paste-y salsa… not the best but the cooked food is good.

Wow! Glad to find this place after moving to Simpsonville! REALLY great service, excellent fresh food, large portion size… The salsa and guac are great. The Burrito Loco is loco size, so watch out… you’d better be HUNGRY! If you’re a fan of authentic Mexican cuisine, this place will not disappoint!

My favorite restaurant. Run by Rosy and her family. My kids grew up knowing Rosy. Always clean. Beautiful and friendly family. Food made from scratch using family recipes handed down from Mama. Definitely go.

This is where I go when I’m craving a taco salad! I think they have the best tasting one around. Service is always friendly and fast(salsa’s not bad either)! Won’t give you anything you couldn’t find elsewhere, but the family friendly atmosphere keeps it on our radar. An enjoyable dining experience.

Second time here. My good friend in the area introduced me to this place. Standard mexican fare. Very good. Their spicy salsa packs a punch. Service is second to none. The owner makes everyone feel at home and you can tell she has a lot of regulars that just lover her.

One of my favorite Mexican restaurants. For a typical Mexican restaurant, the quality and taste is fantastic. Everyone I’ve taken here has loved it. I have been going here for 8 years and it’s always consistent!

Went to try it because they had more reviews than any other place near the exit. Great food; fast service on drink refills.

Last night I really had to have a chicken taco salad and they make a awesome one. Lots of chicken in a large taco bowl. So fresh on a hot summer night. Rosie was there to greet us with her usual smile, basket of warm chips and 2 kinds of salsa. Always feel welcome, leave full and happy.
